RATD, it was on the broadcast. Banfield and Jack getting stuck into Baguely ... I think Cotch kicked two in a minute on him earlier in the game and then Banfield did later on. No big deal, just thought it was funny that anyone would bother during a practice game.

T2709, I agree with some of the Essendon supporters chucking a few toys out of the cot! However, the handing back of membership thing is not part of our culture ....

Mate, have you forgotten about the Matthew Knights days already?

To be fair, it was almost a crime that a big club like us had to play on that windy piece of garbage pitch in the middle of a shipping container yard. And in front of only 2100 people too - it was like being at a Norf home and away game.

Anyway, I remember the last time Richmond beat us in a meaningless practice game and got their egos nice and inflated, until we smacked them at Dreamtime. Will be the same again this year.

How did you go the game after dreamtime?
And, after yesterday's result, I decided to visit the Essendon board for a good laugh to read the game day thread, where you posted.
I really enjoyed the parts where you were talking about Paddy Ryder being dominant in the ruck.
Hammer and Biggie smashed him in the ruck. Hammer had a hit to advantage ratio of 44% before he got subbed out.
I will concede both clubs are clearly in different stages of pre season mode due to when we both play our first round matches, but, Vickery was taken off during the first quarter and Cotch by half time, and Hammer during the third, and you guys got smacked.
The only positive you can take out of yesterday was Daniher. He looks a fantastic player in the making.
The rest of your squad yesterday was an embarrassment to "don the sash". My favourite part was when Dusty threw Heppell to the ground like a little bitch.

Ah, ok. Given the blatant cheating and rough house tactics scraggers like Baguely (not a bad player, by the way) use against superstars out of their league like Cotchin, the boys were probably just reminding him that Cotch was his master and he should be embarrassed to be on the same field.

When forwards give it to a defender, the defender has usually earned it.

How many touches did Mr. Gale get around the ground, not including the times we kicked it straight to him? Good to see he got some effective hitouts while rucking against a 20-year-old forward. You gave up a 2nd rounder for him so you'd hope he could at least do that - I mean, even Cameron Wood can go at 35% hitout to advantage rate over the course of a season, and he's a multiple club reject.

I'll concede Cotch, but Sideshow Bob being taken off isn't a huge concern for you guys surely.

Yeah, I liked how Hep trolled Dustin beautifully into giving away a cheap free kick. Bet the coaches weren't happy with Martin for that... though, it wouldn't be the first time the coaches have been disappointed with Dusty's actions.

Ahhhh, so you guys intentionally kicked it to Hammer. I see, well, Jobe played to the game plan very well then, because man, he continually hit up tiger players with regular ease.
Just admit it, Hammer smashed Ryder in the ruck. And Heppell, lol. What a soft ****. He shit himself when Morris threw himself at a contest as well. Funny to watch.

who the hell is "hammer" ???

Would be GWS' best playa

Unlike the real turnover king Cotchin, Jobe doesn't need to try in the pre-season. His Brownlow Medal says he saves his best for the real stuff. Yes, "Hammer" smashed Ryder in the ruck... as you can tell by the abundant amount of stats that are available for this game.

Heppell soft ****? Guess you missed him putting his body on the line. Speaking of softcocks, why didn't Conca play? Was looking forward to seeing how the little draft blunder would go.

Lol. Conca smashed you guys out of the middle. His tackling was fantastic. Be honest, you didn't watch the game did you? You were reading comments and trying to guess.
As for Jobes *brownlow, he may only have that for another 4 months, then Cotchin and Mitchell might actually be awarded what's rightfully theirs.
The only time Dyson puts his body on the line is when Hille is around.

thats cool, thought he was refering to the models boyfriend.
s.hampson being called the hamer hahahahahahahahhahahhahhahahhahhahahahhahahahhahhaa

He's not a Hamer, but, he's a hammer. You've been warned. The bitch list will be going up starting next week.

shaking in me boots.
sorry to make the mistake of calling him a[rupert] hamer.

Glad your nervous. It appears like Grigg, we have unCarltoned him.

impossible.end story
we got brett thornton and tried everything and couldnt do it.

Commiserations on that. I had a mate once who had a Holden Camira. He was convinced it was a good car and he could actually keep it on the road for more than a couple of weeks before it would break down again. We kept telling him it was a piece of shit car.
Brett Thornton, he's a Camira.

Tigers have made a lot of good calls recruiting lately. Hell, it even looked like Hampson has stopped running under the ball, though that could be that Essendon were kicking the ball high into the wind which made his usual running under ball perfect! However, letting Heppell go through to the keeper was a massive error.

We play half a season and still finish ahead of the toofless Tiges. I'd rather get smacked by 100 points to Carlton than suffer the humiliation of losing to Gary Ablett jnr & Friends year after year, from games that should be played at the MCG - only you're so poor you have to sell home games interstate just to get out of your debt ridden situation. Your 5 year plan is already a failure and next year when you once again don't play finals, Dimma will be sacked and you'll be back to square one. Recruiting spuds like Lonergan and Petterd isn't going to get you anywhere.

Your club are the loveable losers of the AFL and that won't change in 2013.
mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

We get told multiple times on the Bay how soft our outside players like Deledio and Houli are, why on earth would we draft another soft, outside player with no grunt in Heppell?

Heppell is very outside and never puts his body on the line. You do see him sort of throw himself into the backend of the pack as the ball is coming out of the other side to make it look like he goes in but you will rarely see him emerge from the bottom of the pack with the ball in his hands.

As an outside player he positions himself very well generally and is reliable at dishing it off by hand. His passing by foot is sus and, despite the stats, if you actually watch the game, he often sells his team mates into trouble by foot. Rarely provides protection for the ball carrier and his defensive game is ordinary, poor tackler.

Good ordinary outside player on a par with Grigg I would have thought.

I would have traded him last year whilst he still had some value.
