Essendon players mother remains a mystery - H/S 24/6

Is this the evidence that EFC fed Robbo?
1 Dad came out defending the club - Well we can rule out he is not Sarah. What about his mum?
2 Bendigo is only about 1hr from the edge of town. Not exactly other side of the country
3 Bomber saying how good a family the Merrets come from suggests this is the most likely source. It is not as if they chose EFC and fail to see how a quality family would be happy with their boys being shot up with experimental drug.
4 We can rule out Kavs dad as well. Though this was his position prior to coming to the experimental drug environment. His mums view on the saga?

EFC would be hoping ASADA are applying a high level of evidence when determining their fate.

I reckon that if you look at whose form had a massive drop off around this time you would look at a guy who was on track to be an AA defender but then fell right away to the point where he was getting caned by the end of the year. If you look at when the phone call occurred and the drop in form..............

Also had a very tough 2014.

Yeah because a genuinely distraught mother would think on the spot to give a false age to throw the scent. I can't believe people on here would think that that call was genuine. I know you guys get caught up in the echo chamber here but those involved with Essendon don't think Hird was making it all about himself when he was responding to comments made to him and claims made about him. Nor would anyone with half a brain consider that "not for human consumption" would appear on any labels.

I don't want to point the finger at a media outlet or the AFL. I actually think the most likely is someone for the hell of it.

Ever thought that Eddie and the producer advised her to hide these facts as part of there pre-screening of the interview? She might have been distraught but they would have advised her how to mask her identify.

Time to launch federal court action to have this illegal joint investigation by Essesdon/HUN into the Mother thrown out.

Victory is near certain I hear.

Again you have no evidence this person isn't legit. You are using her anonymity as proof of her fraudulence which is ridiculous.

Haha, yep really despite the efforts of the EFC, it's mouthpieces in the media and it's supporters to sling mud at others.

You are the epitome of delusional foamer. You've completely ignored my point because your mind is made up.

Once again, and this is the last I'll post on it because it's a waste of time, it has nothing to do with the fact if she was real or not. The important part here is that Eddie McGuire put her on radio and told everyone she was an Essendon player's mother and this is what the parents are going through because of the evil James Hird. Now, he's coming out and saying that he never said it was an Essendon player's mother and he doesn't know who it is...oh, and "Don't forget that the message is the important part here, not who the woman was".

Eddie sounded like a desperate man this morning when interviewing Jobe. I reckon he's shitting himself.

As for slinging mud, that survey and article had nothing to do with the EFC. Like the article, and the fact that 11 other clubs had similar supplement programs, this is conveniently 'forgotten' because it doesn't suit the narrative that EFC is bad and James Hird is an evil mastermind.

Anyways, done here. Foam away.

Just copied this from MMM site on Eddie's "desperate", "backtracking" comments.

Eddie McGuire says he has no issue with last year's interview on Triple M’s The Hot Breakfast with the woman known only as ‘Sarah’ claiming to be a mother of one of the Essendon players.

The Herald Sun says she was considered a ‘game changer’ in the Essendon supplements scandal.

Almost a year on, the identity of the woman known as ‘Sarah’ remains a mystery despite the club having spoken to every parent of every player on its list.

“Our producer spoke to her, I spoke to her off-air for probably 20 minutes to half an hour before we put her to air,” Eddie said on Triple M’s The Hot Breakfast.

“We did so, as a caller she asked for a nom de plume, we did that and declared it at the time.”

“The interview stands up and it certainly stands up along side subsequent interviews and conversations I had with parents of Essendon players.”

Speaking of delusional, can you show me an article where it is stated clubs had similar programs to Essendon

The only players "nearly 21" at the time of the call.

1. Alex Browne who had just turned 21 on Aug 6th. Just that week his father had come out on telly defending the club.

2. Ariel Steinburg rookie listed player who turned 21 on August 26. His parents live in Bendigo.

3. Merrett Jackson turned 21 in Jan this years. Essendon drafted his brother of course and Thompson has said a few times the most appealing thing about them is their family.

4. Elliot Kavanagh turned 21 in May this year. His dad basically draft tampered to get to Essendon by refusing to let his son interview with interstate clubs and being rude to Norf.

So the only player it could possibly be is Steinburg. He is very much on the fringes and that could see him a little depressed about work. However, his mother lives in a seperate town than him and she spoke of a boy who lives at home. The fact that there was only really one mother it could possibly means that the club could just speak to her and tell if it's her voice.

The actor who did the call stuffed up by putting facts like that into the lie.
Good work Angela Lansbury, nothing gets past you.

What has any of that got to do with whether Essendon is guilty of doping their players or not? It's hilarious the cute little nicknames and diversionary tactics the EFC, their supporters and media mouthpieces think will go any way to discrediting those who see through their bullshit and are calling them out for the cheats they are.

I'm a "delusional foamer" (haha seriously who comes up with this shit, are you 8 years old?) because I can understand why a person may want to remain anonymous when confronted with the possibility of having to deal with nutjobs like the Essendon supporters who post on here and BomberBlitz not to mention the attack dogs in the EFC & media who will no doubt undertake a smear campaign to try and discredit that person. Just because the Essendon google detectives haven't been able to figure out who she is apparently she's a fake.

Apparently I'm also a "delusional foamer" because regardless of whether this person is actually real or a fraud I think it has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on determining the guilt or innocence of the EFC and it's players on the question of whether they doped or not. This is known as a diversionary tactic to try and stop people focusing on the real issues at hand and get them to argue about minor issues on the periphery.

Finally, I am also a "delusional foamer" (you nutjobs really crack me up with that one every time :)) because I see through your attempts to sling mud at everyone else to try and divert attention away from your disgrace of a cheating club and try and drag them all down with you. No other club has been found to have undertaken a cllub-wide program of doping with PED's/prohibited substances as EFC has (it even included the coaches!), they were found to have inadequate processes in place which could have led to a situation like what happened at EFC. It didn't happen, but it could have. At Essendon it did happen. That is the difference.

So take your petulant name calling and blind denial elsewhere because your childish tactics don't work on people without a vested interest and whose eyes aren't closed by blind loyalty.

Surely the woman will ring another radio station asap to put the speculation to bed..even reveal whose mother she is.
No reason why she would not, no reason at all.
That's what I've been thinking all along about Danksy-surely he will come forth with all his information and put all the speculation to bed, even reveal exactly who took what.
But he hasn't.
No reason why he would not, no reason at all.
Please explain.:)

If the Essendon Football Club is absolutely positive that the call was a hoax, why hasn't Little come out and publicly said exactly that? None of this 'spoken to every parent of every player...', no spoon fed Robbo 'increasingly unlikely...' articles (by the way, 'increasingly unlikely' since when Robbo? What has changed between, say, four months ago and now for you to say that?). Call a spade a spade and out Eddie and/or her as complete frauds.

How do the club win by coming out and saying it.

What's the net gain?

What has any of that got to do with whether Essendon is guilty of doping their players or not? .

This. An article has been written and there has been 16 pages and counting of discussion in this thread, and for what?

Even if this was McGuire trying for ratings on his radio show, what the hell does proving it to be fake have to do with Essendon's doping program and the drugs they administered their players?!

Nothing but a diversion.

There is zero chance of it being a setup by the AFL or anyone else wanting to get at Essendon. Far too risky a stunt that would have far worse consequences for the organiser than it would for Essendon. Plus no actor would be able to pull it off. It just didn't happen.

Having said that, there are people out there prone to delusions who get so involved with a story that they believe what they say to be true. They pass the 'genuine test', because they really are genuine.

It's great to see EFC and their supporters in the media concentrating on the important issues. It seems that the truth about Sarah is far more important to them than the truth about what they did to the players.

Exposing Sarah will not change the outcome for the players, nor the club.

Robbo going after a woman, well that would be something different.
It seriously lends to questioning his credibility that he devotes so much energy to a ph call that is going to have no effect on the legalities about to ensue.

To say she turned public opinion is about as relevant as saying that booing changes outcomes of games. What she did was all part of the theatre, but in the end, the legalities and the processes drive this issue.

Cool story. But this thread isn't about whether EFC doped or not. There is >500 threads on that subject.

What I dont get is how can they run with something like this when Eddie didnt even know who she was? Surely someone actually knows for a fact who it is?
I could understand if Eddie knows her and is sworn to secrecy, but nobody even knew who she was.

So.. he'd be fine with me ringing up Triple M and saying "Hi, I'm a Collingwood player who wishes to remain anonymous. I'm on performing enhancing drugs". Would he air that? Would he have taken greater steps to confirm my identity?

Irresponsible, but nothing really new from Eddie. He's always been a piece of shit.

But this incident doesn't affect Ed's credibility yeah?
