**** me dead this season is just a ripper so far isn't it. We didn't make many off season changes which is good, but the form is just nowhere. And its hard to believe where its gone. You can see whats wrong and when we start to play like that ,we still struggle to nail goals.

It has been said before and I will say it again. Either David Moyes is removed as manager or we have someone else take responsibility for team selection and tactics.

I could not believe how negative we went into games against Wolves and Newcastle at home and we practically do the same against Brentford!! This 4-5-1 formation.

I have always been critical of Moyes and subs and this is no exception. Continues to only play 1 striker by bringing on Beckford for Yak and Osman playing on the right!!

Fellaini continues to be used wrongly and the season is already shot. Time for a change!!

Sadly agree. Very disappointed to be losing faith in Moysey, but for ****'s sake. Something has to give. Brentford??? Really??? Dead set....

I've come to the conclusion that this mess is my fault :p

But seriously, this is horrid :(. We will likely have two points heading into the derby, which was unfathomable just a couple of months ago. Hopefully the players and management wake up before we find ourselves tied to the relegation zone.

Got quite a crude shock when I woke up this morning. Expected us to get a win on the board to get our season heading in the right direction but it somehow got worse yet again. Somehow...

I've backed David Moyes in recent years for the progress at the club, but we are in danger of regressing if we don't turn this around. Already you hear fans thinking he's taken us as far as he can, but the next few games will be crucial.

Officially dead last on the table.

The good news was Hibbert and Osman were not fit to start. Neville to RB and Coleman on the wing worked very well I thought. But of course this never would have happened if Moyes had his way.

I guess a positive is we got a clean sheet. I thought Yak showed more than any other striker has this season. But we are in deep trouble overall.

Arteta is terribly out of form. I love Jags but his distribution continues to be a huge concern as well. Why you would take off Cahill and bring on a scrubber like Leon Osman is just infuriating. Of course Billy gets his customary 4 minutes on the field.

Also no surprise to see Heitinga was dropped from midfield. Firstly he is not a midfielder and secondly as a few have probably heard he has had a falling out with Moyes and the rumors of a training bust up with Cahill.

Lets hope in the next few weeks we see a side that does not want to be last and show us something. We need some wins and lets hope the boys show us that they care and pull there finger out.

I think its premature to be discussing relegation as being a serious possibility after only 6 matches in the league. We are in a position on the league ladder where no club wants to be, but somebody has to be there. I don't subscribe to the saying that a club is to good to go down, afterall in the last decade West Ham and Newcastle had teams that were similar in ability and potential to ours and they got relegated.

If you go through our squad line by line there is quality on each line.

-Howard is in the top 6 to 8 keepers in the E.P.L.
-Neville, Jagielka, Distin/Heitinga and Baines is a strong back four that are capable of shutting out all teams in the league apart from Chelsea and Man U.
-Arteta, Fellaini, Pienaar and Cahill are all midfielders that can score and create goals.
-Yakubu, Saha, Vaughan, Anichebe and Beckford are a good mix of different types of forwards that allow us the flexibility to change formations.

There is also David Moyes. A lack of backing from the board was always going to catch up with Moyes eventually and there is only so much that he can do to fight of the spending power of clubs bankrolled by billionaires. Apart from playing Hibbert all the time I'm happy with the way he is managing the club and hope to see him stay in the job for years to come.

Moyes has been whinging again about having to release Cahill for an Asian confederations tournament in January.

If he has such a problem with it, then he shouldn't be signing players from that part of the world.

However I agree with him that as a club Everton should be due some form of compensation for paying a players wages when FIFA has ruled that the player can't play for his club for a month.

I have to say, I'm quite happy about this mornings result. Something went our way for a change, how about that!

Shouldn't let this disguise our problems in attack though, an own goal and another injury time goal, despite all the domination. Hopefully Saha is back soon and hopefully Moyes doesn't rest on his laurels and changes things up a little bit from the usual 4-5-1.

And the fact that Heitinga is starting on the bench is baffling.
