He didn't go in, be ball watched.

Of course he was too far away to make a challenge but he got between Jags straight shot at goal, all he could do. Hardly his fault Can lost his marker when being level at the half way line or even Gomez who didn't move into a position to cover anyone.

My hatred for Koeman is at an all time high, this maybe wouldn’t even have happened if he wasn’t such a dickhead to the media about him. Allardyce still copping the effects of Ron’s legacy, he’s got the toughest job in the league along with Swansea’s new boss
I really thought (hopeful maybe) his mind would change with Koeman getting sacked.

No, he didnt. He wasn't close enough to either.

Glad we have Tosun & will be positive for him, but would love to know why it took so long. After the Siggy saga along with this, I have 0 confidence & hope he is sacked. Still no sign of a left back either.

Yeah nah, he's half a metre give or take away from stopping a brilliantly executed and very fast counter and probably the fourth most culapable defender, not worth noting.

More like 4m away from doing anything. He got caught ball watching twice. Once before the counter attack, hence why he was last back and then while Jagielka was stopping and propping with back to goal, he watches and allows Sigurdsson in. He's been proven to be an average defender with good passing ability like David Luiz.

4m, haha, the ball went right past him. You're expecting him to cover a man that isn't his, he took up a fine position to block the inside shot and be prepared for the overlap runner. Over commiting to Jags would have been poor defending and opened the corridor moreso. Siggy was only given a narrow laneway and was composed, these things happen. He didn't make a poor challenge or back off, he held his position on a counter. It's just bitterness to hold him accountable.

What overlap runner? Robertson had Jagielka covered, Jagielka was marking him at the Corner and ended up down the pitch further. That is ball watching. When he gets to the box, he's too concerned with a player who'd already been stopped and turned around, rather than watching the run from Sigurdsson and found himself in no mans land. BALL. WATCHING. David Luiz style.

You're only looking at what happened not about best mitagating all options. Robertson should have been guarding far post, he had the line of site that VD was there and should have checked to see Lookman had got around his man. Had that been the option it could have been a far post tap in.

Support your zones nearest danger, Jags was the obvious threat for VD and if he'd got around Milner he would have been one on one with the goalie. Djik moved into a position to mitigate against multiple dangerous positions, like the inside turn which Robertson was way too far away to influence, he moved into a positon to guard against the inside run or to shift the zone for the overlap where Milner would follow the runner, despite that it was a good pass and strike. Had Robertson continued to tracke Lookman he could have directed Lallana to move centrally.

Jagielka has his back to goal and the ball is nowhere near. He also has a man there covering that. He ****** up, give it up. Stop defending a gob shite.
Yeah nah, he has his back to goal because that’s where he placed his touch. Could have easily touched inside if VD wasn’t there. Not defending anything except for logical thought.

Good sides win when they play poorly and play great.

Bad sides lose when they play great and play poorly.

We're a bad side and honestly going in super early but Tosun will flop just as hard as Klaassen, would love to be proven wrong though.

My reasoning is the style we play under Sam, which is hoofball. If we actually utilise more of Lookman/Vlasic & more progress from Bolasie, stick Gylfi behind Tosun centrally, then the Turk may have a chance to shine but otherwise, our current lineup's that had DCL up front, won't give Tosun any chances.

Well, you're wrong so deal with it.

From looking at a bit of his highlights he's a finisher - most of his goals are from good assists, he doesn't really create chances. Not sure that's the fit they need at the moment, as you say.

Gylfi (when played centrally), Rooney, Lookman and Vlasic (both should be getting more game time) can supply him plenty. Though in general we are lacking a creative midfielder or two. I think he'll do well.

Mirallas set to rejoin Olympiakos, believed to be a loan & buy at the end of the season.

We are doing great at the exits :$

Officially gone on loan to the end of the season, no buy clause it seems. Will probably just be sold for **** all, he’s not going to return

He’s better than Lennon, but if Lennon stays, what happens with Lookman?
Would they be playing the same position? I suspect Walcott would play more up front and Lookman wider.

I'd be happy for Lennon to stay as depth though he's good enough to go to a Championship side and do well to finish his career.
