I'll give you 25-29 but Waite was past that and got better. TBH North did better than Carlton and WB with Higgins and Waite. Don't know why you're arguing against the Brownlow as a measure of peaking either
Waite's 2010 was probably on par with anything he's done at North, was really injuries and silly suspensions holding him back.

It's because most players who have their best years don't even win a Brownlow - even if they're in the top handful in the competition. No way Woewodin was better circa 2000 than Kouta as an example.

How's the squad looking for season 2019?
Some injuries and delistings have decreased the squad a bit.

Bell, Hampson and Waite at least 3 that are out. Kennedy has had a very limited preseason, Touhy 1-2 away with a knee, Jeffy 2-3 with a shoulder, Grigg indefinite with a knee.

So, at least for the first part of the season, we are pretty shorthanded
