I felt a bit sorry for him. He wasn't alone, but he folded under pressure when he'd usually been so solid.Nick Haynes has had a shocker in his debut for Carlton tonight. I’m not sure he can hold his spot after this performance.

I wish he had just retired at the end of last year. Would have ended his career as a Giants legend.I felt a bit sorry for him. He wasn't alone, but he folded under pressure when he'd usually been so solid.
He has been cooked for years. The really strange thing is that Blues fans seem surprised.
Still is but leaves a bad taste. Going in that one year too long.I wish he had just retired at the end of last year. Would have ended his career as a Giants legend.
IMO last year was a year too long.Still is but leaves a bad taste. Going in that one year too long.
Lloyd was able to leave on a high of finals and f/s games made.
Haynes, a legend, didn’t know when it was time.
It's hard to imagine after what we saw in 2023 and 2024.Whilst I cannot blame Haynes for taking the $, he would have retired as an inaugural one club Giant. I hope for his legacy that he turns it around at Carlton and becomes a regular starter there
Timmy T was great last night ... missed some targets, that's Timmy, but his toughness inside was vitalHaynes had a stinker.
Taranto was barely noticeable.
Hopper I thought played alright.
Last night was a win to the GIANTS though.
He is certainly good on the inside, cant fault that.Timmy T was great last night ... missed some targets, that's Timmy, but his toughness inside was vital
All solid performers, as we expected they would be, as they were for us.Cumming, Perryman and Peatling.
None of them lived up to their bigger than we offered monies. Early days, but could prove shrewd.

We've got a very long and well-proven history of letting go who we let go.Cumming, Perryman and Peatling.

Steele is fantastic but we were still WAY overstocked for inside mids. Especially those without a burst of pace. So much so that Hopper and Taranto were let go as well. Not to mention Bruhn and Caldwell. We've got a very long and well-proven history of letting go who we let go.
Letting Steele walk and picking Shiel over Treloar is probably the big two we got wrong.
Less said about Bruhn the betterSteele is fantastic but we were still WAY overstocked for inside mids. Especially those without a burst of pace. So much so that Hopper and Taranto were let go as well. Not to mention Bruhn and Caldwell.
All good players but I'd take Callaghan, Green and Kelly over all of them individually.
I agree that we've kept most that we NEEDED to keep. Maybe bar Cameron and Hill.
Cameron is still a top player but Jesse has been so good that we haven't really missed him.Steele is fantastic but we were still WAY overstocked for inside mids. Especially those without a burst of pace. So much so that Hopper and Taranto were let go as well. Not to mention Bruhn and Caldwell.
