I think it's a bit of a non-premiership hangover. All the hard work to get there, gave ourselves the opportunity finally - some players having stuck hard for over a decade to get there, and other players very aware of that - and now we have the mountain ahead again. With so many things needing to go right and so much more work required just to have a chance of trying for it. And a little bit of gnawing doubt that after everything, superior effort might not be enough to get it done.
Yes, that sounds/feels pretty right. Will be interesting to see if they can get some momentum. These things can become irresistible as we saw last year.

I reckon this is the case. I think the disappointment of losing the GF has had a significant lingering effect, especially in the manner in which we lost it (we shot ourselves in the foot as much as the opposition outplayed us). We just need the playing group to decide, en masse, that they want to play again. At the moment many of them look like individuals wrestling with personal demons. Need to get the team focus back.

Spot on I reckon. Get RTB on the phone and let him know we've got it sorted ;)

I'm confused, are you pissed because I have a season ticket, or do you own the fooS situation is much better here in the USd and beverage companies operating at the ground ?

Spit it out
He's supposedly pissed that people who choose not to attend the game and have a seat that they don't onsell are keeping a supporter from attending because there are no tickets available. Essentially a BS stance because the only games you wouldn't be able to get a ticket to would be the ones that nobody misses. Probably just projecting the US situation, which is no doubt worse than ours.

Thanks for the response for me. Infact the situation here in the US is much better than that of the AFL.

I was more responding....... Whatever!!!!!!!haason membership. Feel better?

I am so pissed you

Sorry I don't buy this, the history of the game would suggest most teams beaten in their first GF in their cycle back up to be contenders the next year.
To me as I said elsewhere it seems to be a confidence thing, they were completely attuned to the game plan last year, this year the plan has been tweaked and for whatever reason it's not yielding results, we could speculate on what those reasons are but the problem is you can easily enter a spiral - you lose a couple then have less confidence and so play even more safely and continue to lose etc.
As someone else posted earlier, for the whole 2 years he has been here Lyon has basically (with a few blips) had the team on an upward trajectory, will be interesting to see what he can do to arrest this as currently his game plan and the players are not in 100% sync and you only have to be off a couple of % and this is what happens, you're 3-3 and facing a few hard games and hanging on to the eight by your fingernails

It's not just confidence. We've also been extremely hard hit by injuries and suspensions in the first 6 weeks. 4 of our first 6 choice forwards aren't playing, 2 of them are yet to take the field and one is likely out for the remainder of the season. Of the 2 that did play on Friday, one is clearly not 100% either.

Having Barlow out is also a much bigger loss than people seem to realise.

I buy it. The history of Fremantle would suggest the GF meant a lot to us, so much so we took until the third quarter to get over our nerves. We started this season well but injury and suspension has allowed the doubt to creep in and become inflated.

We will beat West Coast next week.
We have a good record against Port away.
We have a good record against Geelong at Subi.

We have good ins for next week and then for the games after.

We have Sandi's 200th next week to spur us, and Pav's 300th against Geelong.

One week at a time, and it can (and probably should) be 6-3.
A bit of respect to Port and the Cats would be worth maintaining. We should've beaten North just like we should beat anyone: because if Freo play at their optimum, which happened a lot last year, they can topple anyone. But people need to remember how good Port are, and at home, and how well Geelong are travelling too. And this Fremantle side is coming off some poor losses, a deflated gameplan, shocking execution, and total flatness. I reckon the Eagles are every chance to topple us in all honesty.

I would lean towards us being 3-6 than 6-3. It'll be somewhere in between but if we're keeping this as a binary...

Our season was looking pretty hopeless in both 2012 and 2013 at certain points. Our run gets much easier after the bye. Our team plays to win finals not home and away games.

I think you have missed the point if the previous post by Pokerspiv Banana .
You hit the nail on the head .Let me explain if I may .
We had injuries last year that should have ended our season but for one reason .Pavlich or the lack of Pav .
Because he was injured we used our head and lowered our eyes .Walters and Ballantyne became first choice options and very good ones instead of Kepler and Pav all we had was Mayne whom nobody outside of Freo fans rated him at all .
The bullocking work was done by Silvgni , Mayne and Griffin created space for the little guys to run around in and score .
Sandi went downs ,Griffin carried the mantle and as luck would have it Griff went down and Clarke put on his cloak and a new super hero was born .
By the end of the season we had SUPER HEROS to burn except on the LAST DAY IN SEPTEMBER .

So far this season it has been the reverse of last year and Pavlich is back as well as Sandi in great shape but the support crew took a wrong turn .
We have had a very hard landing so far this season and we are running out of SUPER HEROsss
I RECON
Its all Clarkes fault he got injured first even before the starting gate opened .
He didn't even make it to the race track then Gumbelton and how inconsiderate was Barlow doing his Knee so early in the season never mind Walters .
Bloody Hell I was worried his knee wasn't going to stand up for the season ,I didn,t even think about his ankle .
Bloody FYFE has to give a good hip and shoulder and 2 F##king weeks holiday what was he thinking .
Bloody Sylvia comes over here flags flying he's waving to the crowd Hail the messiah and BLOODY HELL , ROSS says give him a fitness test .
Well that was the end of him what else cam go wrong .
Here we go again MAYNE WTF another ANKLE , and to top it off rising star Simpson does a DUMBY SPIT across 3 STATES NO LESS .

Well all I can say is What can possibly go wrong with the rest of the season ,I mean its be a whole 6 weeks isn't that enough

Hang on minute did someone say hold the presses there's more '
Hannath has gone with a right cross ,Morabito has been charged for rough conduct ,Vandeleur has been charged as well all in 1 game of WAFL
Dawson Johnson and Sandi MRP and this all on 1 weekend of football and both teams lost Holy Crap where's a Prient ,a Rabi ,A Monk and don't forget the Mullor or what ever they are called . Did anyone buy a Lamb .
