Ohhhhh interesting, what was the rationale behind no captains? Just curious as I've always been of the opinion captains are a tactical choice thus giving coaches more decisions but obviously don't really mind. Cheers for the heads up on that man
Unknown Caller is the best to ask, it is just the way it has always been. I personally like the concept ☺

Trade Alert:

Warriors receive Marley Williams

Wombats receive Wombats 3rd round pick

deeman87 to confirm.

As I only have a list of 43 at the moment, there is no player needed to be delisted, and as Wombats is getting a pick, there is no player swap so that a trade can be done through the normal mechanism. Therefore I will manually put Williams on my list through the UF site, as per the way of the off-season.

What is this in reference to?

The Williams trade. I would certainly have looked at Williams for a pick.

Murray's form on the weekend VERY good. Gleeson hurt which sucks but overall a very positive off season for Team LWP.

It seems like an odd rule to me to restrict it at 4th. Allow the trade of any future picks gives that extra bit of flexibility to get a trade done (as Deeman and I tried to do). As we saw, people still value those later picks. Many of us would have loved a pick or two at the end of that draft.

I guess it's easy for me to request given I'm not the one that has to update spreadsheets and picks (and thank you to you guys, you do a great job!). The only downside I can see is the logistics of keeping tack of it all. If that's the main reason than fair enough.

I dont mind if we include the 5th and even the 6th round - and I am the primary one it affects from a work perspective (keeping track and updating the spreadsheet) . The only reason it finishes at round 4 now (from memory) is that was the call made by Unknown Caller at the time.

At the moment if you dont have at least one future 2nd, 3rd or 4th, you have to keep a future 1st. If we extended that to include a future 5th (and 6th), that is easy enough to manage logistically.

Been a trade, Bont on the move & The Raiders get stronger, at least short term.

Rockford Raiders send Hugh Mcluggage, Ryley Stoddart, Toby Wooler & RR 2019 1st round pick to Warburton Wombats for Marcus Bontempelli

Rockford to confirm

tenderwarrior to update picks.

Matt Shaw delisted to make room. Bont is apparently wrapped to be on the move, word is he wasn't happy with a 4 year rebuild and requested a trade. Meanwhile Mcluggage gets to spearhead my rebuild & join best mate & teammate Jarrod Berry. I'm quite invested in Brisbane now and will be wishing their kids all develop well. :)

Yeah pretty good trade, luggage and future first are good, extra pieces are just that extra. Can't think of many trades which cost more.
Stoddart will be good I think, and though Wooller has little value presently, he could be a very good UF commodity. Assuming McCluggage reaches his potential, it is a great trade for Wombats
