Not a lot of camera coverage for most drivers, even with Hamilton out which was a little disappointing. Genuine question, did Norris actually have many on track overtakes? I feel in most races he is definitely quicker than ricciardo and other midtable drivers with clear air in front but notice this season he mainly moves up the places by making up time when the traffic pits. In contrast we have seen many Alpine overtakes and duals over the course of the season.

I find his situation more interesting than anything, not particularly attached, at 33 he has had a solid career in the sport. If he finds another seat for a season it will put him up into the top10 for most F1 races. All good things must come to end and all that jazz

He did have a couple of on track overtakes but only with the help of DRS and he only just barely made the moves stick with how slow the car is.

Terribly boring race. Could see what was going to happen before lights out (minus the Hamilton crash).

Max was going to dominate.
Ferrari was going to * up a strategy.
Latifi was going to cause an accident.

As for the Hamilton crash, clearly his fault. Getting very sick of the miserable old campaigner Fernando though. For someone who hasn't really done anything in 10-15 years, he has an awful lot to whinge about.
Reckon last year's Belgian GP was more exciting than this

Horner isn't far behind Toto in terms of being an insufferable prick to be honest.
Meanwhile Guenther just chillin on his boat

Guenther's far and away THE man, the rest are all a bunch of DHs.

Harsh on Jost Capito and Mike Krack. Hell, even Seidl is okay. It is really just Toto, Horner, and Otmar that are dick heads.

You would think Daniels contract would be more expensive than Oscars, so a cost swap wouldn't quite work (where McLaren pay for Daniels seat at Alpine, and Alpine pay for Oscars seat at McLaren. Alpine would win that financial relationship)
Mclaren is paying on the arse on both fronts, Alpine would have requested 5mil for piastri's training, daniel wants 24mil for his termination.

I expect something along the lines of:

Alpine Pays Danny Ric 10mil next season but receives 5mil from McLaren for Piastri costs making Danny Ric a net 5mil pickup next season.

Mclaren Pay Daniel 24mil + Alpine 5mil but get 10mil back from Riccardo thanks to his Alpine contract so net -19mil + Piastri's contract.

The exact figures would have been what they have been hashing out together, if Danny Ric didn't race next year this whole swap could have cost McLaren 30-40mil.

My guess is they settled on a figure, PR dictates they must 1st have Ricciardo agree to walk away before Alpine were "looking" for a new driver and then Alpine must lose a bitter CRB ruiling on a technicality to save them looking like idiots for losing piastri before he gets announced for mclaren later in the week while daniel gets announced before monza to alpine so they can pretend they went looking after the CRB meeting they were "sure" they would win.

For mine just as Oscar isn't publicly turning down the alpine seat without a mclaren seat already signed, danny ric isn't agreeing to his payout deal until his f1 future is secure elsewhere because if he doesnt get a seat for next year that would be career over.

Horner, please never change 😅

Toto himself did say in a pre race interview that there shouldn’t be any more changes to the rules as you’ve only got to see how much it has advantaged RB.
He said it in a very jokey way.

McLaren are getting hammered on social media by their fans for the bs strategy and piss poor car once again.
I still can't understand why McLaren (or everyone for that matter) weren't changing to softs if they needed to pit in the last 10-15.
They were all taking mediums. Some even took hards again i think.

Maybe they just didn't have any soft sets left?

But Max/Sainz showed the pace was there for Softs for 10-15laps at the START of the race on a full fuel load.

Why were they all picking a slower tyre.... I just don't get it.

Thinking back over this season, I struggle to think of any highlights for DR. I can't even remember a single overtake he's done, he's gone backwards every race. He would have to be the most overtaken driver of the year surely?
