The OTT hype around Hamilton's arrival at Ferrari is a bit cringey but totally understandable in the terms of his history and presence in the sport

What triggers me though is the publicity surrounding the arrival of his physio/PA/gopher Angela Cullen. Her constant appearances in the garage and pit wall before, during and after races is something I didn't miss. Not sure why her frequent on-screen presence triggers me so much but it does.

Seeing one of the most famous drivers ever join one of the most prestigious brands in all of sport has been do fun.

Adding to that just seeing the joy it’s brought others and even himself, I think it’s great for the sport and you gotta be a hater to not enjoy it. Especially when this is dead time anyway before we ramp up to the season.

And the latter part of 2024 has me - hoping, but perhaps in vain - that we'll get an even season. So many new faces and old heads in different seats, but I don't mind Verstappen winning again as long as the contest is close.

We all want a competitive WDC no matter who you support, and you'd have to be one of those if you take no enjoyment from seeing a 7 time WDC realise a boyhood dream. Are you one of those, Mr Black_White ?

Probably because her presence on the tv usually was either accompanied by Sky's jingoistic commentary glazing Hamilton, or shots of Lewis doing something entitled
