I'm getting these constantly on IG RN. I put up a story and I get these sort of people viewing it, friend requests and DMs.Seems legit

I've been curious as to whether people are engaging less on social media or it's always been the way.
I've been paying attention to my engagement on posts and while I'm not concerned about how many likes I get it makes me wonder how many people lurk on facebook and never engage. It does annoy me however when someone brings something up in RL weeks later about what I posted on FB and they tell me it was interesting but couldn't hit the like button. Or they make fun of me at work behind my back about what I posted.
The most likes I'll ever get is for a very significant post @25% engagement, 10% for something interesting, about 2% for random sh*t.
For stories I'll get as much as 33% viewing my stories, but when I posted an interesting poll, only 2% of my viewers did the poll. So what do you think? Why aren't people engaging?
Ive unfollowed alot of "friends" and its got nothing to do with vaccinations.I've unfollowed a few friends who bleated about their right not to be vaccinated. Ok, but I don't need to read about your selfish stupidity thanks.

I also did a massive clean out of my fb yesterday. Delete or hid a whole lot of cringey posts and deleted a few albums. Felt good tbh.
Half of them were "GO CATS OMG WHAT A WIN"Haha did the same with FB status posts from 2008-2010 when i was in my early 20's.
So much cringe!

The legit best public convo ive ever witnessed was a bride going nuts at her bridesmaid (who i had as a friend) saying she wasnt good enough etc. Was a full on public scrag fight. Was quite amusingMy word, having public FB discussions with the missus back in 2007 before we realised how cringey it is, oh dear.

Yeah stuff like this is awesome, best bit about Facebook. Unfortunately it doesn't happen as much between friends, you need community pages for this sort of thing now.
I'm still going, even in Hawaii.
surely this is a joke?
please tell me it is a fake
She's got a point re. RSVPing.
Altho on the other hand, inviting 150 ppl overseas is kind of crazy, unless she and all her friends are rich.
Did piss myself at "only the cheap stuff is gone"
I thought people did weddings overseas so the guest list would be low! haha
I also have an issue for RSVP's , its not hard to say yes or no.... then there is that stupid maybe function on FB haha
i have missed so many weddings, birthdays, engagement parties and children announcements because i have never had facebook.
and i cant express how happy i am that it worked out that way
I've got FB- but I've like "unfollowed" almost everyone on it. Just about 20 or so close mates + family, that I actually would want to see updates from.
Is good.
