I wouldn't be banking on Watson to play much this year. He may be a good AFL weight, but his endurance/strength wouldn't be upto AFL standard if you are expecting him to play 22 games, and if he does play he will be more a 3rd tall option than a KPP.

You have a good point i would expect Watson to be a bench player i would think Toy is a better starter and even Coad. That why we wait and see how the pre season games go.

Nice set-up and Ideas pretty standard from what ive been seeing so far on this forum. Dont want to be too judgemental because we are still far from the season and we havnt seen the youngsters. Unsure of Coad, Duigan and smith in the starting line-up, although maybe thats just me not knowing who they are and you know something more than the rest of us.
Personally I think Krakouer is better served in the forward line just because it opens up another spot for a gun young midfielder like Polec, conca, Gaff. But if this is done for mpp it is understandable.
Hurley and yarran could be good pick ups and add that person touch to set you apart from the rest, risky though (but there can be big rewards for risks)

OH, I Smith not Z Smith, I get you now .......... hehe

Played around with the line up a bit to get Krakouer into the forward line and another midfielder in (Went with Wallis, but ANY of the rookie selections could/may/will change depending on the NAB cup form)

TEAM NAME: Coryne's Crew

Yeah nice. I like it. I question S Gilbert this year, had him last year average of 90 looks ok on the outset but he really is the clanger king and can be very frustrating. But thats just opinion.

After advice from fellow bloggers, I have upgaded L Anthony to Kelly. Could have afforded better, and some may question, but he really is in for a big year (he is my watson of last year who averaged 108). I expect him and Varcoe to improve a lot for Geelong this year.
Rucks could be a worry but i would take an 80 average from Petrie.
Also super boosted my midfield youngsters (Swallow, Gaff, Conca, Polec) because i really feel this years crop are going to be sc gold.

Salary cap left: $14,500.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Brett Deledio, Greg Broughton, Josh Drummond, Andy Otten, Dyson Heppell
Ben Jacobs, Josh Toy, Daniel Talia

Chris Judd, James Kelly, Nathan Foley, Daniel Harris, David Swallow, Andrew Gaff
Jared Polec, Reece Conca, Claye Beams

Aaron Sandilands, Drew Petrie
Zac Smith, Nathan Vardy

Lance Franklin, Matthew Pavlich, Jonathan Brown, Adam Goodes, Colin Sylvia, Chris Knights, Andrew Krakouer
Brandon Matera, Steven Motlop, Tendai Mzungu

I have updated the SC prices in the Fanplanner to reflect the announced prices in the Herald-Sun yesterday. The new magic number is 4868, down 8.4% from what I had it at.

I had a team I was very happy with. Now I have an extra $500k to spend! crazyness!
This. Even I think it's too easy now. I had the crazy 4 rookies on the field in the midfield strategy going, but I just have too much money to go with that now. I have to disregard all the rookie study I've done for one player, and pour it into another premium! Haha. Can't wait for all the questions to be answered at midnight.

Damn - it's almost getting to the stage where we have so much money I am finding it difficult to fit any non-premiums into my team !!! ;)

Maybe I'll stick Gary Ablett in my bench and just "carry" him for the first 9 rounds - LOL !

Some people might see more money, but I've gone from just under the salary cap on FF to 415k over with the real prices.

Foley, McLean, few others (rookies more expensive??).

Me too - I think it was mainly those very cheap "midpricers" who went up - for instance I had Foley, McLean, Houli and Andrew Krakouer and they seemed to rise a fair bit, even as the Premiums came down - time to readjust my team and strategy !!

I was hoping Krakouer would be cheaper than 200k, but it's okay - Knights and Otten are super cheap and it's pretty easy to fit 14 solid keepers into my team.
