You're right. For thug, read cheap shot artist.

I was surprised how generous the commentators were being in trying to write it off as an accident. If that wasn't deliberate, Farmer sure has one hell of jerky knee.

Apparently none of theadelaidefootballclub players remonstrated with Farmer - either they thought there was nothing in it, or they are the gutless ones here.

Good point.

he will plead an accident but i would like to no what he was doing lifting his knee in the first place. he had a tackle and a ball up was about to be called. he did not need to knee a guy in the face when he was on the ground.

he is a gutless, useless piece of sh*t.

No. Thats Wirrapunda when he has to be accountable for an opponent.

Apparently after the game Jeff had no idea about the incident. Jeff is all arms and legs all the time. No way he meant to do it. He might be suspended for being reckless but not deliberate.

How could it not be deliberate? There was no reason for doing it except hitting him in the head. Dirty, dirty scum.... I thought beating up a woman was low, kneeing someone while they're down is just as low.

Funky - It's Wirrpunda, learn to spell.

Go and watch Danny Williams last night in the Melbourne Storms game against the West Tigers in the NRL. He's looking at 15 weeks for what he did..

it's nothing steven baker didn't do to kane johnson. it's just the NRL hate melbourne, and the AFL love st. kilda.

I don't know if Farmer did it deliberately or not. All I will say is there are some players in the AFL who have a habit of being involved in so-called "accidental" incidents, and it's about time they were told to pull their heads in.

Sh*t happens on a football field, doesn't mean someone should go for it every time.

You didn't hear any Freo supporters complaining that whoever landed the tackle on McPharlin which broke his collarbone should be outed.

You pinhead.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing posted on BF by a non-troll I have ever read.

A knee to the head of an unprotected, grounded bloke, or a tackle...?

Bloody hell.

He broke the guys eye socket? Well he will get off then, just like Lynch.

But mabye he will get 10 weeks cause I am damn sure Collis QC didn't go to school with Jeff's dad (like he did with a certain player who throat punches and knees, both caught clearly on video, but suprise, suprise get nothing - "I'll look after your boy mate" don't worry)

Anyway looked to me accidental, but reckless. Can't knee a bloke in the head like that.

That wouldn't be a certain Cats defender would it?

If you look at the replay and in slow motion you will notice that Jeff is looking at the umpire all the time. He has his right arm up apealling for a free kick, keeps apealling, no reponse from the umpire therefore has to animate the situation by lifting his body. You will notice that his right leg is really tucked in while his left side is not that contricted. In his 4th or 5th apeall to the umpire he rises from the left. Its not reckless, it is just bad umpiring as the continue to sit and gander at packs, BALL BALL should have been the cry from the crowd.

*at least wirra has the guts to take getting dropped like a man.
*doesnt hit woman.
*doesnt cry to the umps when they dont fall for his diving tactics.
*isnt one of the most arrogant people in the game, jeff seems to think he's god every time he gets a goal (heres a tip jeff, its your job)
* didnt smash a guys face by kneeing him.

anyway,
i dont know how that makes him gutless. its wirra's job to rebound out of 50. the coach gives him a lisence to get free and run with the footy.

So good to see that you at least realise that Wirrpunda (happy bluey17 - nice to see with that user name your not living on past glories) is soft.

The knee to the head was about as deliberate as McVeigh's knee to Hird's head.

Good to see Orangeapple still hasn't got over Farmer's complete pantsing of Wirra in the last western derby.

And he'll more than likely do it again in a few weeks. That's if Woosha has the guts to put Wirra on Farmer again.

I'm neutral as far as the two teams go and first saw it in slow motion knowing the result.
However I can't see how it was accidental, or what the justification was for that knee movement.
My verdict:
Long holiday

Why bring Wirra into it at all. This thread has nothing to do with him, it's about Farmer.
