Re: Farrer League

Hey noticed no one has made a comment on this page in awhile! Good to see a good crowd at the Grand Final the other week! Who said the Farrer league was dead. Just a shame the first grade grandfinal wasn't different, well done marrar boys anyway gave it a good shake of the sauce bottle. And how bout Rivcoll Two's.

Re: Farrer League

Yeah was a good game, hats off to Marrar, they gave it to the gullie for two and a half quarters, lets hope they can keep their side together and build on it along with the other sides in the comp . Be nice to see more than two games for the year decided by less than 10 goals.

Re: Farrer League

Been pretty quiet on the farrer league front of late, hearing a few rumours going round about a few clubs recruiting pretty well, Jets TRYC and Rivcoll but nothing confirmed. Has anyone heard anything?

Heard Dale Hugo has signed at the rock, they are looking to sign a few others too. Jackson has signed with east wagga.

Re: Farrer League

I see McDonald back to tryc, bit of a surprise as I thought they were not rapt with his off field performance last time with not socialising with the players and not staying at functions any longer than he had to. Great player though and makes tryc look very, very good and with jb up front will give gullie a torrid time. Could the farrer be a better comp than rfl next year with all the rfl clubs looking weaker bar gggm farrer may be more interesting

Re: Farrer League

heard some rumors jets new coach is bringing some quality players from melbourne to the club any truth to this rumor ?

I heard they are chasing Cal Mckay from Albury tigers, if they got him he would absolutely dominate, o&m rep ruckman etc. But i have my doubts, he is a foreman for Joss constructions who play a huge part in albury's success through employment, money etc. But ya never know i guess.

Re: Farrer League

how are all the teams shaping up this year? will there be much improvement for table dwellers rivcoll and northern jets?
rivcoll have certainly done some heavy recruiting but are they recruits any good.. from what ive heard the 4 tigers they managed to sign arent anything special. would they have been better trying to recruit and absolute gun rather than 4 mediocre players who were in and out of the 1t grade side for wagga in 09.. and the jets seem to be very quiet with the melbourne rumor being just that... and still no news on the so called signing of cal mckay..
although did hear mick foster is keen to return home to the jets would be very handy pick up has a great set of hands.

Re: Farrer League

just after some info regarding northern jets fc, 2 of my cousins are playing there this year, what sort of club are they and what was their year like last year any chance of having a tilt at premiership this year?

would be nice but not likely, heard he was headed a little further north than that, no disrespect but he would want to go to a better level than o and m so farrar not much chance. i hope rob mcgreggor is not still involved with the jets? surely not:thumbsdown:

Predictions for 2010...

Gullie
The Rock
Marrar
Jets
East Wagga
North Wagga
Rivcoll
Temora

Anyone know if north wagga have found a replacement forward yet?
How are the hawks shaping up with a few talls leaving? do they have much onball this year?

Re: Farrer League

'It appears Marrar are trying to buy a premiership. There will be some very disappointed Marrar Supporters after round one when they get flogged by Collingullie! All that money down the drain.' parky

This was posted on the daily advertisers website today under the Kahlefeldt story. hard 2 see how Marrar are buying a premiership when the story was about replacing an assistant coach? they have 2 other contracted players coming in this season and have lost one. So really we have only bought one other player from last year? a bit rich one would have thought? bitter mango supporter or gullie throwing rocks in a glass house?

Rock
gullie
marrar
jets
rivcoll
East wagga
Temora
North wagga

Top 4 will be close but East wagga and the saints will struggle in there first year back.
Hawks have lost upto 10 or 11 players from last years senior side and have only Picked up 2 notable recruits in Jackson & garner. They will severly lack in the onball department.
Rivcoll to be the big improvers in my mind and the jets seem abit of a unknown with alot of out of town recruits coming on board.
Temora being a young and enthusiastic side may coarse a upset or two but i think will remain inconsistent, I havn't really heard much on recruitment out that way tho..

Marrar
The Rock
Gullie
East Wagga
Jets
Rivcoll

North Wagga

Marrar have got to be close to favourites, they pushed Gullie in the GF last year and have around 8 blokes coming in who will all play one's. Plus, it would be great to see them in the RFL next year. East Wagga have lost about half their side but wont go too bad. North Wagga will struggle.

Re: Farrer League

The Rock
Marrar
East Wagga
Gullie
Rivcol
Jets
Nth Wagga
Temora

Obviously the rock and marrar have signed some quality players and prob deserve to be early favourites, heard a rumour measilback wants out of gullie and i honestly think there good run might be coming to a close, east wagga are a bit of an unknown have lost a few but have the experience of being competitive with the top RFL sides which should hold them in good stead. Rivcol and jets will be up there but the difference between there top half and bottom half will be there downfall and nth wagga and temora will struggle simply because i wouldnt have a clue how they've recruited, which is a bit unfair on them but iam sure they wont lose sleep over what i think. :D:D:D

Re: Farrer League

gotta have gullie as favourties. same side as last 2 yrs pretty much, and have been not been beaten in 2 yrs. throw a blanket over the rock and marrar. then
rivcoll
temora
jets
east wagga
north wagga

Re: Farrer League

Looks to have the making of a great comp this year. Haven't been around gullie this year but have heard they have picked up a few handy players but not too many stars. Similar side to the past few years just another year older. Marrar look good with kahldefeldt but loss of hill will be massive blow for them, he carried them in the gf last year till weaners "bump". I suspect they would like nothing more than keep gullie out of rfl after what has been said in the past few years. TRYC look pretty good as well but not too much depth? EWK & NW will struggle, has NW signed anyone? Rivcoll signed a few but are they 1st graders. Temora enthusiastic and hope they go well with their young side, be a good side in a few if they can keep them. Jets ??????

Gullie (I hope)
Marrar
TRYC
Jets
Temora
EWK
Rivcoll
NW

Hard to pick as there are a few sanfl players who have been cleared to ffl no one has mentioned, are the any good?
