Young Tanner didn’t look out of place today for a 16 yr old. Didn’t get a lot of the ball but looked classy and surprised with a nice overhead mark under pressure. Definitely a player to keep an eye on over the next couple of years.

Kellaway was one of the more eye-catching midfielders on Sunday, displaying a powerful turn of speed to take ground out the front of stoppages. He looked most effective as the second possession winner, being released on the outside where he could drive his legs and impact in bursts. His handling was terrific too, including with a half-volley in the second quarter, and a stoppage shark in term three where he hit the ball at speed.

The tiges and other clubs who've benefited nil from the NGA should boycot donating another cent and demand all academies be scrapped. We've yielded 1 decent game out of egg messy smith and our next best was paying some bloke named pala pumba to play VFL this year yet mysteriously with all our injuries he was never sighted. Zaydyn Lockwood wasn't even in best 7 kpf for Vic Country and hasn't been invited to the combine so why keep throwing more money down the drain.

Northern academies are open to anyone who wants to kick a footy , ours are only open to indigenous and foreign nationals not quite a level playing field ,if we applied same lens to GC. Not one of those players would have gone to GC

Strongly disagree with this. The draft is fine, in itself. But the points system & academy’s/bids/FA compo etc needs perfecting.
