We are now getting close to the pointy end of the season and it is time to take stock.

I’m disappointed we are only second on the ladder and to a cemetery at that. With the Coneyheads topping the table maybe rumours of the SFA’s death are true.

But on Day 1 of the Festival I’d like to look at the other end of the table where everyone’s fave easybeat (the Dees) are battling for the spoon with the Swamprats.

For mine, the Dees are safe from the ignominy. My steadfast week on week support according to several Dees’ has helped instil confidence in an otherwise demoralised mob
