I really hope Riska stays. Here you have somebody who wants to remain a lion and somebody in my opinion could yet still explode as a footballer after a flat year. Why get rid of him?

I hope we get Fev for Bradshaw and hooper/macdonald but I would rather the deal not go ahead and we get to keep riska if it comes to that.

TBD where did you get that photo from ?

Was Stitchface planted as an undercover construction worker at Visy Park ?

With the revelations of Rischitelli's reluctance, is anyone else being torn to-and-fro by the bipolar forces of emotion and pragmatism?

If it was Bradshaw instead of Rischitelli I would feel worse but when you are a player who is not in the best 15 at a club, no significant history (premierships, best and fairests, etc), etc the rules are slightly different IMO.

Words to go with picture.

Lions duo tight-lipped on Fevola trade
Daniel Sankey | October 8, 2009 - 1:57PM

Brisbane Lions stars Daniel Bradshaw and Michael Rischitelli were tight-lipped today when quizzed about a potential switch to Carlton that would in turn deliver Brendan Fevola to the Brisbane Lions.

Very much so, even though I still can't bring myself to like this deal (for reasons stated previous).

I hope he stays, to be honest. Have always had the soft spot for Rischa.

Come on boys. I think you really need to move to Carlton. Obviously your current clubs haven't been paying you enough, judging by the state of your jeans.

Just think of all the extra $'s that can be made down at VISY!

;)

Honestly though, I'd be happy to keep Rischitelli. Maybe we should suggest J.MacDonald instead, if there is a sticking point.

For what it's worth, I won't be upset if we end up keeping Bradshaw either, although, it would not make sense to end up with both Fevola and Bradshaw. I'm not up for Bradshaw to play in defense.

I can't work out what will be the biggest shock to the system.

Seeing Braddy in a Carlton jumper or seeing Fevola in a Brisbane jumper ?

What does anybody else think ?

Always was on the Rischa side of it... :( And this photo drives home the reality of it... I just dont want to see him go. Maybe hes not the brilliant best of all our guys but hes also pinch hit in a lot of different roles and hasnt really been allowed to settle into one. But you just cant argue with his work rate, his ethics or his honesty. :(

I'd believe 100% Braddy is fine with it... like I said earlier I believe that for him football is his job not his passion, and to that end the Lions are his employer not his life. Hes shown that at several times throughout his career when he placed the club second... now dont get me wrong I love the guy... but hes pretty clear where his priorities lay as far as I can see. What we as supporters feel is irrelevant, and its his right to do what betters his own situation.

Maybe the Treasury Casino said to the Lions... "Get Fev and we'll be your new sponsor." ;)

Thats been on my mind too TBD... I wonder where all this puts us in the eyes of potential sponsors?

I am excited and at the same time, incredibly sad. I have this horrible feeling in my stomach about bradshaw leaving. I hope we trade him for fev than see him retire pre season :p
