Fevola Arrested?

Really? What farm? We've overpaid for Fev, sure, but we got Staker etc as good as free. What farm do you think we mortgaged? Is Dalziell a farm? We swapped him for Staker, and won that bet handsomely. The others, we paid nothing for. Are you sure you have your facts straight?

Staker vs Dalziell is the only trade you won out of 5.

History says you went from 6th to 13th. Which can partially be explained by the disruption to the playing group of meshing these new players and losing Henderson, Bradshaw, MacDonald and Dalziell.

mate henderson is a spud, and was set to leave the lions after his 2010 contract. What do you think the lions would have got for him in the past trade week? nothing

Get rid of him...now!!

Sick to death of seeing our club dragged through the media due to the never-ending antics of this lunatic!

I will be emailing the club to let them know how I feel about this..

As a supporter of this once strong and admired club, I have had enough..

...and I don't care how many goals he may or may not kick!

He is just bad to the bone:thumbsdown:..

Where did you hear that? I know first hand the Henderson was very happy in Brisbane and content to stay for the long haul and if you recall was touted as a future captain of the club.

That is your call on referring to him as a spud, but I strongly disagree, especially for a third year key position. Lets revisit this claim in 3-5 years when Fevola is finished and Henderson is around the 100 game mark, not to mention where a pick 12 mid such as Jetta wwill be...both of which we had but used on a clown such as Fevola.

Can't see how you think we will win on this trade.

Mate hendo approached voss and co and asked to be part of a trade deal. waiting behind brown & fev/bradshaw was not in his interest...It was obvious that he was keen for a move and jumped at the first chance to get out.

I never said we won that trade...I just don't get the big fuss over losing hendo

Queensland police said officers, spotting the man walking in the road with a group of males at Ann and Brunswick streets, asked him to move off the roadway.

"The man allegedly refused to comply, becoming verbally aggressive towards police,'' police said in a statement on Saturday.

That's it????

He refused to move off a roadway? In NYE crowds/taxi-ranks?

Trivial much?

This is absurb logic. How can you claim a club has lost out on trades because they went down the ladder? There are a hundred other factors in play.

The only thing Brisbane lost in most of those trades was the opportunity to recruit some younger players - most of which would have been fairly late, speculative selections.

From an outsiders perspective the Fevola trade was a loss for Brisbane - I don't think he'll be the difference between a premiership or otherwise, and I also don't think Henderson is a spud (though he's no gamebreaker). Pick 12 would have been handy too. But it was hardly an unmitigated disaster.

My guess is that this Fevola incident is a storm in a teacup, emphasized because it's Fev, rather than the severity of any incident. However, it would be nice if he could learn to just stay off the booze for a change.

Mate hendo approached voss and co and asked to be part of a trade deal. waiting behind brown & fev/bradshaw was not in his interest...It was obvious that he was keen for a move and jumped at the first chance to get out.

He approached Voss after learning that the Bradshaw/Rischitelli trade with Carlton fell through and knew that Voss was still going to pursue to Fevola, which would have made him number 4 behind Brown, Bradshaw and Fevola.

Now history would show that it would have been more beneficial that Bradshaw/Rishitelli had accepted the trade and we remained with Henderson/pick 12 considering we lost Bradshaw/Rischitelli anyway. What Henderson did was commendable as he knew where Voss had him in the pecking order and sacrificed himself for the club whilst giving himself greater opportunities of actually playing senior football.

Why the idiots at the club offered so much to Carlton when it knew it could have picked Fevola in the PSD for nothing is still beyond me, but no, we give up Henderson AND pick 12...go figure.

GG, why couldn't he have just said, oh sure no problem and moved?!....instead he becomes abusive and won't move!.....

..as usual, he caused the problem himself!...he made a trivial matter into much more.....and more headlines:thumbsdown:

like you said, he offered himself up for trade...he wanted out. go back and read his comments when interviewed after the trade.

was fev contracted when traded? I thought he was...so no psd

Gotta agree with you, McM. This has just gone too far. The man cannot even go out for a drink with making it a c...up. Time to cut him loose. Will just not learn.

This is about Fev. If we had not traded Fev in, Hendo would still be here. But with Fev it would be another 3 years before he got a crack at KPF, which is what he is. With the subsequent departure of Bradshaw, he would be firmly established in our team. And don't write him off because he is not a Lion - Hendo will be a player.

What gets me - and I hope some-one with some knowlege can answer it - is why we gave anything away in the first place. With the price he had on his head - 8 or 9 hundred a year or whatever - why not just tell him to nominate for the PSD because no - one else could afford him.

Vossy, Allen, Kelly & Bowers will always have a black mark in my book for this travesty they have foisted on my club.

It wasn't a case of simply wanting out, it was of opportunity, which he was getting as a second year developing player, which would have further reduced behind 3 other key position forwards. Knowing quite a few people at the club, including ex-players, I can assure you that Henderson didn't simply want out as you are trying to portray, similar to say Rischitelli/Brennan who had a choice and were guaranteed starting 22 spots...but hey don't let me construe Henderson's departure from the way you would rather perceive it.

Fevola must be bitter that he wasn't invited Judd's wedding so acted out:D

Yep this guy is a nuisance to society.....hmmmm

Come on people what a crock of shit

same could be said for both arguments I guess...end of the day the lions didn't even consider trading him and the fev deal was falling through. Hendo put himself up for trade and wanted to go back home. You obviously have your perception of how it went and I have mind. facts are that he wanted out when the fev deal didn't look like happening.

GG, why couldn't he have just said, oh sure no problem and moved?!....instead he becomes abusive and won't move!.....

It's not that he can't learn but that he refuses to.
His way is better than anyone elses and that's that.

I've felt sorry for Carlton, I feel sorry for Brisbane, I feel sorry for his family but I don't feel sorry for Fev.

Once an idiot ........

Sorry PRO...completely disagree with you....it was simply a matter of complying with a request to move off the road....how difficult is it to just do as he was asked?...really?

It shows a lack of respect, and a refusal to just go along with what is asked of him.....and afterall, it is NOT wise nor safe to walk on the road in the dark, or any time for that matter..

..yes, it was trivial, so why make it something else...which, with his chip on the shoulder aggressive attitude, it has become..

His attitude is wrong whichever way you look at it..

McM, I do not condone what he has done and agree that he should have complied with the officers request but let me ask you this:

If it was some one other than Fevola would the police have been arrested and would you care about it so much? - me thinks probably not.

The $64 million question isn't it.

And it continues to haunt us as we **** up so much to the extent that we felt recently as we couldn't afford to retain or attract players due to this clown's salary. Hell, Fevola should be happy to take minimum wages, no other club would employ him and better yet, not many non-football businesses would employ him either, yet we pay him top dollar. Our club is the bigger fool than he is.

Vossy, Allen, Kelly & Bowers will always have a black mark in my book for this travesty they have foisted on my club.

3 out of 4 are gone and I for one will not be entirely happy with the club until the fourth is gone.

I agree with the sentiment MM if that is what happened - but it is the Qld Police that say he was in the street to begin with (ZOMG!), and when confronted (no doubt cordially and without a hint of aggression whatsoever ;)) Fev became aggressive and abusive.

Aggressive and abusive are interesting terms too - not assaulted an officer, no physicality, but "abusive".

Just sounds like a beat up to me - IMHO, it sounds like he's getting done for an exchange of bad language.
