North Melbourne
This is really gaining momentum over the last few weeks, Brendan Fevola is a massive chance to head to North Melbourne Football Club. Surely with the situation the Brisbane Lions are in with the salary cap issues and Black and Power not having new deals and not wanting to go down the Bradshaw path again that trading Fev could be a win win for Brisbane - Cash Problems and North - Goal Kicking problems. Also this will give Fev the opportunity to be closer to Alex (Part time mrs) and the Kids.
As a North supporter i hope this is true...! Have now heard this of a couple of people that are close with the NMFC.

Why would you hope this is true? Why would you want to bring that cancer to your club?

Sure he is a great player, and will kick a ton of goals, but you have to think of off field ramifications.

(Im aware my club got Aker...look how that turned out)

Mark73 because you have not heard this it does not say it has not been a massive story going around Melbourne... Maybe you don't know people that have there ear close to the ground at football clubs or maybe being near the seaside you have a build up of salt in your eyes and ears....!

Hmm, hasnt Bon made a bit of a point about how the players on the list are all 'North' players? Cant imagine he'd turn around and recruit one of the most destabilising players, especially an 'outsider'?

Anyway, DO NOT WANT. We have plenty of options, especially with Petrie coming back to play CHF.

Wouldn't mind Cunnington also. Supported Brisbane. :thumbsu:

Anyways do not want Fevola comes with negative externalities and do not want a selfish player like him anywhere near North. Our vice-Captain Drew Petrie has been out all season and will come back bigger and better next season to fill the goal-kicking void.

exactly!!!! I hope for the lions sake that it is true...and/or that the Pies look at him for a cloke replacement.

Is Fevola really a cancer to the club though?? What has he done that is so wrong. As far as I am concerned he is just on to much coin for the Lions to keep at the moment.

As I have previously heard that Fev is defginately Not wanted @ Brisbane, & that the wife has stated that if he wants any sort of reconciliation, that he has to come back to Melbourne.
Now, who's the best fit?
?North? I'll bet that some of his pay is apparently still being paid by carlton & then at a guess, Brisbane could share some of his pay, then he's a cheap pickup for the cash strapped Roos.
I think a likely scenario.

Its clear he wants to be back in Melbourne . He needs the footy crazy enviroment here , hell , one week after major surgery he goes back on the footy show and pulls his pants down again after what they did to him last year !
WARNING : Steer clear North , two clubs cant be wrong !

Well, maybe you're right, but as you can see I also have a solid eye and ear for people who talk a lot of shit.

Forget the cancer talk. Just hyperbolic bullshit from guys without a clue. He is a knobend no doubt who used up all his chances and some at Carlton and had to go, but it's really only circumstances that have conspired against him at Brisbane. Could actually work at NM, if nothing else he puts bums on seats.

Only when he's injured and on the sideline.

he was pretty good until started playing with injury and then couldn't get on the park. where i reckon he has devalued his status is that he porked up during his injury period. when you're carrying a groin injury, you can't afford to add kilos. he did this, and i suspect because he simply doesn't have the discipline to adjust his diet to match his physical output. i doubt he has any meaningful trade value at all. how many teams are looking for a pure leading full-forward these days. especially those who start getting fat when they're carrying injuries. i can understand bne wanting to offload him, but i can't see any vic clubs giving up much to get him. unless gary ayres is still coaching, has he applied at essendon?
