This time it was the Furies who emerged victorious in a nailbiter. The match thread between the two teams in Season 33, aka #grandfinalrematch, is universally recognised as THE BEST THREAD EVER, and while we did not scale those heights again, the week with the Dragons is always a highlight.

The Bombers always provide a busy week, though unfortunately we weren't able to match our Tube Radio efforts on the Qooty field. In a difficult slog, we ended up 3 goals behind at the final siren.

The Fighting Furies finished the season on a strong note, and though we were a mathematical chance for finals heading into the final round, other results unfortunately did not go our way.

Before we present the main awards, we will take a moment to honour our rookie of the season with The Nuffers Award.

The Fighting Furies are traditionally a very strong club with bringing in rookies, and we want to thank those of us who joined us in Season 34, the majority continuing on with us for Season 35 and hopefully beyond. Nixi, krided, Chronz, and Silky23 all brought something to the club in Season 34, and we look forward to their continuing efforts with the club in Season 35.

Ultimately, there were two rookies who stood out this season in kananooks and JyeDye, both of whom have wowed the entire league with their efforts.

In a very difficult task, the Fighting Furies LG have decided upon the rookie of the year, and as the Nuffers Award winner for Season 33, it is my great privilege to pass the baton onto JyeDye!

While Nooks is moving onto play for the Ophidan Old Boys in Season 35, he leaves with our best wishes and with the full knowledge there's always a place for him at the Hippodrome.

As mentioned earlier, Cadsky joined us in Round 5. Through his time at the club, Cadsky drove new standards of professionalism and excellence, and we were greatly improved for his presence.

Cadsky has made significant contributions to the Sweet FA, and it was an absolute pleasure having him with us. In Season 35 he is moving back to where it all began for him at the Royals, but he also departs with the fondest affection of his teammates from his time at the Fighting Furies. Cadsky, there is always a place for you here should you wish to return, and we look forward to meeting you again soon.

Great work putting this together James Colorado. Being captain is a tougher gig than many people realise and so often life makes it hard but you put in the hard yards to make it a great night.

To all my mates at the Furies, thank you so much for having me. Although my time was short it was a very enjoyable time that I'll look back on, proud to have been a part of such a great club with amazing people.
