Good game to watch. North's comeback was exciting stuff. Tough and daring-really good footy. Deserved the win.
Did feel sorry for Essendon players at the end-tough year for them.

For neutral fans, was that the game of the year?
No. North were less than ordinary in the first half. I was happy to see the Roos win and it's a long time since I've said that but it didn't strike me as a great game.

When's the last time Essendon got their hearts broken like this?

Twas preliminary final weekend nigh on 15 years ago.

Rumour has it there was already a line at Windy Hill…a GF berth was in the bag they said…

I had an onion on my belt, which was the fashion at the time...

Daniel Wells played one of the best individual games of the year and no-one noticed.

Was huge. Everything he did made a positive impact. That piece of play in the last quarter where he somehow won the contest in the middle of the ground was awesome to watch live. BOG with Thompson and Greenwood not far behind.

How could any team cough up a 5 goal + lead in the 3rd quarter of an elimination final to be easily beaten...?!
Just can't imagine how bombers fans must be feeling.....

...In all seriousness, will be interesting to see if this result causes the bombers to stumble next year as it did the tigers this year.
Oh, and if the media goes with 'brave bombers' rather than 'bombers blew it', won't be happy.

Can't take much out of that game. Very disappointing. Good job North, Petrie's 2nd goal was an absolute ripper, Hooker had his measure up until those last few minutes but he stood up very well. I wonder if Ben Brown is gonna keep #50
