Richmond supporters thread is this way ----> 'How many consecutive decades of mediocrity will it be this time for the Tigers?'

Richmond since most recent dynastic period: 3 years.

Collingwood since most recent dynastic period: 93 years

Collingwood seem to have gone 31 times longer since their last dynasty. That is some dry spell Fadge old boy. Richmond longest period ever in the competition without a dynasty: 37 years.

Collingwood have mastered the 32 year pop-up single Grand Final victory routine, and you are talking to us about decades of mediocrity, lol.

1942-43 11 teams played. They were Premierships.

1917 6 teams played. That was more like a conference win.
Yeah, but 95% all fit, healthy, young adult men were off fighting the Gerries. I assume the teams in these days were made up of geriatrics and a few young blokes with flat feet. The teams were closer to the Managatang thirds than a proper VFL team.

Errr...then why couldn't North Melbourne do better?

I recall when North won their first 2 flags was right after Australia had lost 99.6% of their 19 year olds and 94% of all able bodied men of footballing age in the Vietnam war, and the VFL in the 1975-79 period was more like prison team level footy, with a playing style to match. :)

Largely correct, we didn't have any good players in WW II because the best players were off stopping the evil march of German and Japanese imperialism.

Typical of North Melbourne values, we didn't jump on board US meddling in SE Asia. I believe Keith Greig was intending to call out the US bombing of Cambodia in his 1973 Brownlow acceptance speech before being silenced by VFL corporate yes men.

When I bumped the thread, the last thing I expected to see was supporters from minnow clubs such as Richmond and North Melbourne inserting themselves in an attempt to be relevant...

Lol, this clown's team wins 2 Grand Finals in 65 years he is calling 4 flag North and 8 flag, 2 dynasty Tigers minnows.

We believe you Fadge, lol. :tearsofjoy:

Like how you credited North for their 1977 'flag' and excluded a reference to Collingwood's 2010.

You're quite brilliant (but still follow a minnow club).

At least the Tigers have won more than three flags in the last sixty odd years!

This is the same North Melbourne that has won more flags than Collingwood since 1958 though.

Both clubs more successful than Collingwood in your lifetime, no doubt 😂

Lol Fadge true to form thinks the first club to get to 17 Premierships is going to be the same club that has won 2 Grand Finals in the last 65 years, and one of those required the MRO and umpires to provide a total police escort to Collingwood through all 3 finals. Meanwhile Hawks win Grand Finals at 6 times that rate, Tigers and Blues at 4 times that rate, Bombers at 3 times the rate over the same period.

Fadge, lol. :tearsofjoy:
Not sure if you are serious or last year was a blank for you.

2 grand finals in 65 years ?
I think it’s 3 in 34 ? I could be wrong but however I know I’m not.

At least we’ve won more than 2 in the last 15 years. How many you blokes won in the last 28 ?

Last time I checked Pies/Blues both on 16, or again are you in denial about this ?

You can throw numbers of years around willy nilly if you like at any era to make you feel better about your arguement. Facts are Carlton 16, Collingwood 16, Essendon 16

Looks like it’s out of Pies/Blues but Sydney almost look unbeatable this year. (Apart from Tiges, WTF!)

Ok show me the 3 Grand Finals you won in the last 34 years then. I have you winning 2, drawing 1, and losing 4.
Who seriously cares?

How many flags have Richmond won since 1983? 3. How many have Collingwood won since 1983? Also 3. See what happens when an arbitrary timeframe is set?

Besides, many people on here wouldn't have been born for any of Richmond's pre-2017 flags so it's irrelevant.
