Back to the topic, I have got used to overly-optimistic fluff, but what I don't like is mealy-mouthed comments that take us for fools. I suppose I should be specific: before and during the process when Ben Davies was traded, several officials around the club made disingenuous statements such as, "It's crunch time for Ben...," and later, "Ben probably figured that his future lay elsewhere so he opted to move on..." A simple statement such as, "It just didn't work out so he's trying elsewhere," would be adequate. I think we all saw it coming. Yes, officials have to be politically correct of course, one of the reasons I wouldn't be able to do their job, but I hate being taken for a fool.
