Football Mallet Brawl

How come nobody has replied to this question? I would have thought that the posters who have very strongly come out and stated that the thug with the mallet is in no way affiliated with the club, would want to adress this question. The silence from these people lead me to believe that this might in fact be true.

It is because no one knows who he is.
Therefor no one knows who he is or is not related to. He may be a brother of a player but then again he may not be. No one at the club knows because no one has ever seen this guy before.

I'm sure the police have worked it all out by now and have informed all persons involved. However people around the club do not know the guy.

He is not, has not and will never be a member, player, supporter or a part of the Northern Saints Football Club.

The one thing that does look very bad, apart from the obvious, is that it looks like he could be the brother of the player who was reported for king hitting a Tulla player. If it comes to light that this was a pre arranged plan by the player and his brother this will not bode well for the club. I'm not saying this is the case btw.

The club found out tonight who the guy is.

I've watched our 16s at least 18 times this year and never seen him at a game.

I'm not privy to that information yet.

Pretty sure you know that it is...

That is what is getting said around town..

I do feel for you guys high in the club having to deal with this, from the tribunal records in the seniors this year it looks like you have cleaned the club up.

Were you there?
I can tell you this was not the case.
No I wasn't there and you are correct, the story about the people not leaving the rooms was a lie fed to the press which they ran with.

Two nth players were reported for striking, one near the end of the game and another on the siren which prompted the melee .

I have been told that an official claimed that the man charged is a brother of one of the players reported for striking. Of course this is just word of mouth but I trust my source.

courts have got to start locking these thugs up. 5 years minimum.

No way.

Assailant will argue rubbishy mitigating factors such as being under the influence (drugs or alcohol), anger management issues etc. With a guilty plea etc. will probably get 12 months at most with parole after 4. Community service much more likely.

Welcome to the Legal Sytem.

The numbnut trys to hide from the cameras yet wears the most hideous outfit to make himself stand out.

Of course he's gonna dress up for the occassion. He's got his two minutes of fame, and he's just like his hero in life, the 'Black Prince'. If Alphonse Gangitano does it on Underbelly, it's gotta be the cool thing to do.

Nth Coburg Saints....the EDFL are going to have a lot of problems with that club..some very ordinary people are involved with it.

it was northern saints that played. and those sort of dog acts are not part of the club. the bloke responsible was not from either club.
some clubs in the EDFL are known to be thugs and people involved in the league should know who they are, and northern saints is not one of them,
but those event are by far the most disgraceful act ever. he supports nothing!

The EDFL as weak as it is will come down on your club bigtime over this.
Would you like to explain why the Tullamarine people were too scared to leave the rooms for about 40 mins?

yes because of some person just watching hit a tulla supporter with a mallet. that doesnt mean the club is resonsible.
also did you know BOTH the alleged attacker and victim live in the SAME SUBURB!!!!!

Exactly, thankyou. This is an isolated incident by one absolute tool, not a reflection of the whole club.

One tool, wielding a tool = 2 tools

The relevant people need to understand that this is "junior" sport. It's not about semi literate coaches or "hangers on" attempting to relive their youth or pushing their own pathetic agendas to the detriment of kids enjoying the opportunity to play local footy.

Lets hope some of these clubs can get their act together. It's a sad reflection on the clubs and teams that do "the right thing"
