Any takers on a used but still youthful Paul Medhurst?

Can tackle, kick great snap goals, dead eye dick from a set shot but has a sllightly damaged foot - but its not too bad..you won't even be able to tell the difference.

Just needs some confidence and belief from its owner (current owner has treated him like shit! Apparently prefers plodders who can't kick for shit as long as they kiss his ass) to get the best out of him.

Anyway, pls call MM at the collingwood fc to make an offer...I think he's ready to offload for next to nothing....you may even be able to exchange for a pair of steak knives!

Thats a pathetic post... nearly as pathetic as Medhursts form over the last year and a half - But you want him to be played because he played some great games nearly 2 years ago!

Get off the sauce

I think there is 15 teams in the comp that would consider taking Medhurst for the rest of his career.

Quality player in the right circumstances!

You should offer him to weagles or doggies - they seem to like old, over-rated, over the hill players and will play him until he's in a walking frame. They need them to give their rising stars some "mentors" - says it all.

Youthful? He's 28 isn't he... which makes him 29 going into next season.

So no, but thanks for the offer.

He hasn't had many serious injuries so the body is reasonably sound..hence the youthful reference....didn't say he was young per se:eek:

Still spritely, has good speed when fit and will be good for a few more years despite what some delusional Pies fans think.

Potential match winning abilities possessed but need to be harnessed for optimum performance.

Fair call... could maybe say the same thing about Pods.

And yeh, I think he still has a lot to offer. Especially clubs who are currently lacking an experienced forward with genuine ability, maybe Carlton, West Coast, Essendon?

We tried to warn you his good form was temporary and that he would go back to his old ways soon enough.

But no, apparently you guys had turned him into an instant superstar.

We're OK with the AA year he's given us and the quality future we anticipate in young Ben Reid, so it worked out well for both parties TBH.

Yeah, probably did - but we really don't want him back. We don't want anymore "retirement plan" players returning to Perth, even though Solomon and McPhee have/are working out well.

Given Medhursts penchant for only performing when he needs to save his position and then forever coasting he would be best suited to the weagles - would fit right in with their culture.

Best give him to Fremantle while their top-8 window is briefly open - with Sandilands Pavlich, Tarrant, McPharlin and Halseby propping them up I'm sure another oldie would like to play in a few Fremantle finals in the next few years.
