It would just be an embarrassment and a sign that the club itself never changes. and hey, Knights got sacked on a Sunday before the final round ended too.Genuine question with no silly business. How do you guys feel about a potential Hird reunion?

Hope he gets back to Tigerland.Best of luck to Rutten, he will land a new and better job soon enough.
Buckley and Cameron have no interest in us, and rightfully so.If your looking for an experienced coach it has to be Lyon, B Scott or Cameron. (Surely not Hird.)
Also, has Buckley indicated he’s not coaching again? (He would be fantastic…)
Hird probably has the footy IQ to do it if he set his mind to it but that he hasn’t spend years at successful opposition clubs means a string no to meToo soon for me. I hope he can coach somewhere and can go well but what happened back then is still a major factor in what is happening at the club now.
Genuine question, can/how do members force a spill of the board?
Tell them to stick their membership fair up their clacker.
For me, the crucial part of the "too soon" period ending involves, funnily enough and in my opinion, a president and a board that accepts, not with gritted teeth and not with sly complaints about the AFL and ASADA and WADA and the Swiss government and the man on the moon, that 38 people got banned and we're responsible for thatToo soon for me. I hope he can coach somewhere and can go well but what happened back then is still a major factor in what is happening at the club now.
Of course I do. The only way you get your say is by telling the club to shove it by not renewing your membership. You think members don't deserve a say given the absolute cluster * we are in and how long some of th se idiots have been on the board?
I believe the process is something like gather enough signatures requesting an EGM, agenda item vote of no confidence in certain positions, vote people into those positions. Someone smarter might know?Genuine question, can/how do members force a spill of the board?
I think he more or less indicated he has no interest in stepping into our shit storm earlier this week.If your looking for an experienced coach it has to be Lyon, B Scott or Cameron. (Surely not Hird.)

Tbf, the events of the past week have led to me finding some john worsfold statements made towards the end and after the end. Worsfold got some stick for the "essendon isn't owned success" line but is it really that different to Rutten's lamenting the club not being on the same pageA lot to unpack here. What bothers me the most is that Rutten seemed to be the only person that knows what the club needs to do to get success. Stability, hard work, stick to the plan, fix the culture. The one guy at the club who actually has the smarts to see why we’ve been a clusterf*ck for the past 15 years and going nowhere fast gets the arse from an arrogant President looking for another quick fix.
Something (I believe) Roco said on the Lunchtime Catch-up Podcast really stood out to me; that football clubs are about people. Right now in my view the EFC is not about people. We’ve just turfed the guy that actually sounds like he has real love and care for the club, the players, the staff and the members and supporters.
Regardless of whether you’re of the view that Rutten had what it took to take the team to success, i think we can all agree that if the board and president took a moment to read the room they’d quickly see they’ve completely alienated the members and supporters. We’re ashamed and embarrassed. But I honestly question whether they care as long as the membership $ keep coming in.
I’m as detached and disillusioned by this club as I’ve ever been.
