Current Four police officers killed after pulling over a Porsche 911 on Melbourne freeway

Let's not kid ourselves, dick pussay is a POS but he did not cause the accident and will almost certainly not see jail time. But everybody will know him by name so his life is effectively ruined now anyway.
Sounds like he'll be in the slammer for other shit anyway.

Hard to believe what has transpired. I frequently drive on that part of the Eastern Freeway, and it's troubling to hear that the truck driver was driving 100km/h on the emergency lane.

They say the truck driver had a medical episode, but it's unclear whether this episode occurred before or after he hit the police officers.

It feels surreal that some of the officers worked at Boroondara Police Station, as I was only there about two months ago to have some documents signed and witnessed.

Takes a special type of degenerate to take photos of the scene, then flee on foot, and then upload the photos on social media.

It was described in the press conference as the truck veering from a traffic lane into the emergency lane at a speed of around 100kph, travelling a short distance and impacting the cars and officers. .

It does not sound good that the driver just veers into the emergency lane in that exact spot with no evidence (that has been stated) of heavy braking.

Add to that he is under 24 hour police guard and house has already been raided with items seized.

All supposition at this stage.

I find it hard to believe the truck driver had a medical episode at that period of time, on that stretch of the freeway, veering into the exact spot where 4 police officers had pulled someone over.

I also find it hard to believe a terrorist attack or a premeditated attack on police could be as opportunistic as this. Really would have been a split second decision unless he’d driven outbound in the 50 minutes prior and had seen the cops.

There’s a lot we don’t know. Hoping it was just a terrible accident, feel like his name would be cleared by now if it was.

The Porsche driver is a disgusting human. That’s one thing we do know.

no mr pussy didn't cause accident but he was driving around like a mad man with drugs in his system so he was an accident waiting to happen,to me pieces of shit like this grub have got a lengthy criminal record and keep getting slaps on the wrist so they think they are untouchable and normal rules don't apply to them and the end result is never good

Sure but if he wasn’t cooked and driving his Porsche like he was on the Autobahn the police would never have been in that vulnerable position.

He pulled over in that spot like 1000s have before him. Impossible to pin the blame on him but the way he was driving and the way he reacted is what makes him horrible.

Worst day for police dying in action since Ned Kelly.

Pusey sounds like a high flying lunatic.
Truck driver if the rumours are true may also be a narcissistic psychopath.

Terrible day for VicPol. My thoughts are with the family and friends of the heroes now deceased.

The thing is that since lockdown the roads have become even more dangerous. The Police referred to this last night. Because there are fewer cars on the roads there are a lot more speeders and the Police were putting more assets on the road to counter it. I live not far from the scene and know the freeway at that point really well. It is exactly where the police always sit in the middle medium strip with the camera, as they are not seen until you come around the curve and they've got you by then. I don't think this is at all deliberate. It is a hideous accident. I can imagine that the cars in front of the truck were slowing down because of the 40kmh rule and the truck didn't or couldn't slow down and went into the emergency lane. I feel awful for the deceased, their colleagues, the emergency service workers and all Victorians. Also I have been passed at speed a few months ago on that freeway by a maniac in a black Porche so I wonder whether it wasn't his usual idiot run.
When you are in a truck you are elevated and your vision of what is ahead is much better than the average car in that situation.

This being caused by the slowing down to 40 law seems like fantasy from many that dislike that law.

He was already on bail and facing charges of theft, assault and criminal damage. Breach bail will be another with anything else he's charged with over this. Fail to assist I think might also be a charge in Victoria and leaving the scene of an accident even possibly hinder police and resist arrest.

Yep, no sign of him braking either, just swerved into the far right lane and kept going into police at full speed

It could have been my darling 83 year old nana they were pulling over in the same spot instead of than Mr Pusey, but the truck still would have hit them. Our legal system will not allow him to be charged with involuntary manslaughter or any other thing like that because if you take the emotion out of it all, the crash wasn't his fault.

I suppose there could be a tedious link of the backup officers being called in due to his campaignerishness but what happened is still way too remote.

This terrible campaigner may end up just a footnote in this tragedy if it turns out there were darker reasons for that truck to end up in the emergency lane.
