I think Buddy and his new CEO need to get their stories straight

Never, ever, liked that image of Buddy. Not because of what they are doing, just because half of the people in it are not highly thought of off the field. bad company, but that is who Buddy likes to hang around.
So Franklin left a team of his best mates with a premiership chance, for another team of no friends with the same premiership chance, for much the same money, but so that he could party on a bit more anonomously in Sydney???
That, and he has a nice set o' **** waiting for him up there. So Franklin left a team of his best mates with a premiership chance, for another team of no friends with the same premiership chance, for much the same money, but so that he could party on a bit more anonomously in Sydney???
This was posted on www.afl.com.au moments ago. He was interviewed at Channel 7 today and it sounds like it was from the same interview.
LANCE Franklin insists he had not made a decision on his playing future before Hawthorn's Grand Final win over Fremantle.
The forward met with AFL officials on Wednesday, amid revelations he has been offered a nine-year contract with the Sydney Swans worth $10 million.
It has been reported the move was in the works up to a year ago, and there are suggestions Franklin had made up his mind before entering the Grand Final.
"I hadn't, I truly hadn't made my decision before the Grand Final," Franklin told AFL.com.au.
"I went in there just wanting to win the Grand Final and was able to do it and leave a two-time premiership player, and hopefully there's a few more to come.
"I made my decision pretty much at the last minute so Sydney, to their credit, have done a good job and I'm happy to be there."
Franklin sat down with his teammates on Tuesday to deliver the news.
"The boys have been really good," Franklin said.
"I've had some close mates at the footy club for a long time. I sat down and had a chat to a few of them yesterday (Tuesday) and they've taken it really well.
"From the start, though, the footy club has been a massive part of my life and they've made me the person I am today. Alastair Clarkson too, full credit to him. He's been amazing during this period.
"It's obviously tough on him and his family. I just want to say thanks to the Hawthorn Football Club. They've been great to me."
Now that he's made the decision, he says he can't wait to make the move north.
"I'm excited," Franklin said.
"Yeah, looking forward to getting up to Sydney. It's a great footy club and as I said I had to pack my bags up at Hawthorn and saying goodbye to the boys is something very tough, and upsetting too."
I sit here at my computer and forgive me for being such a girl, but I'm close to tears.
I have never heard such shit come out of the mouth of one man who I have loved the whole time he was at the HFC. What is this crap of using the past tense? "I've had some close mates at the footy club" What, are they no longer your friends? (I wouldn't blame them though if they ditched him) And for gods sake Lance, stop fu*king lying. It has been confirmed that contact was made with Sydney last year and yeh, sure you only made up your mind after this years GF. What made up your mind for you? The chance to stay around a very successful club and potentially win more flags, that idea must have just made the decision so much easier. You, Lance Franklin are a**hole of the highest order.
That, and he has a nice set o' **** waiting for him up there.
Just remember to clean the gravel off your knees and wipe your chin when we are finished ay mwbahahahaha don't worry we'll tip ya $20 just for swallowing!!!
Come on fellas chin up! You don't need him. Keep your heads high, you've got plenty more flags to look forward to. If the departure of G. Scablett from the Cats has shown, Hawks could very well become even better!

Absolutely ruined the GF win, think I'm done with this sport , gunna get my son into another sport with some ethics, really gutted over this prick treating our great club this way.

I'm sure it was a contingency plan and there was always the posibility that he'd move, namely to GWS. It's the fact he's going to a rival flag threat that is hard to swallow, particularly given the advantages said club seems to enjoy despite winning a flag only 12months ago and then being able to pick up two key forwards.Buddy definitely knew he was going Sydney and of course kept it quiet. Would it make you feel better him saying so? doubt it! I feel Hawthorn knew about it too, why would you pick Tim O'Brien with your first pick as a key forward when you have both Buddy and Roughy.

The one thing I will struggle with is, How do I explain this to my 8 year old son??
