Watch us win the premiership next year. You have no idea how motivated this has made me!

was out last night in hawthorn. lake, schoey, hill, spangher, puopolo were out.. couple more i think but was too drunk to notice. asked lake about what he thought about buddy and he just shrugged his shoulders

i cannot believe he could do this to all of us. what an absolute DOG.

What pisses me off the most is the deceit and lies.
And now he comes out and says he only made up his mind in the last 2 days.
At least be honest Buddy

No different to Browndog or Ablett I suppose but at least man up and tell us the truth.

Exactly!!!!! I guess to quote the man himself, 'It is what it is' - he's not the person we thought he was. Don't get me wrong, I never had him down as a model citizen, but I thought he had a spine and some loyalty. I was sadly wrong.

Yep and they are all first grade w@nk3r$ at that. He will fit right into that lifestyle well to be honest and that is not a dig at him. He just seems to enjoy that Bondi boy lifestyle. Seems to have worked out well for most of those twats, maybe it will work out equally as well for Buddy. I guess if money is priority number one then most of those guys have actually worked out well. Many of them have been paid big money to be on the outer in their respective codes and not actually had to play many games to earn the coin. They might see it as a win / win.

The one thing I will struggle with is, How do I explain this to my 8 year old son??
Tell him Demetriou thought Hawthorn was becoming too strong and therefore chose to take Buddy off them and send him to another team. Might as start informing the next generation of this morons agendas.

Maybe we should all just get our sooking out of the system today, then go back to celebrating our Premiership?

We are spending too much energy on this bloke who doesn't give a hoot about us. He's gone, we can't do anything about it but boo him next season so let's just raise another glass and get pissed!

Mods, close thread. Let's get positive people.

PREMIERS!!!

Back to Back 2014!!

That, and he has a nice set o' **** waiting for him up there.

He'll have to be patient though, man boobs do not grow overnight (and I'd know). However, I feel confident he'll have a massive set before his career is over. At least by 2022 he'll have some cushioning , as Hawthorn defenders crush him and his walking frame into the turf.

I sit here at my computer and forgive me for being such a girl, but I'm close to tears.
I have never heard such shit come out of the mouth of one man who I have loved the whole time he was at the HFC. What is this crap of using the past tense? "I've had some close mates at the footy club" What, are they no longer your friends? (I wouldn't blame them though if they ditched him) And for gods sake Lance, stop fu*king lying. It has been confirmed that contact was made with Sydney last year and yeh, sure you only made up your mind after this years GF. What made up your mind for you? The chance to stay around a very successful club and potentially win more flags, that idea must have just made the decision so much easier. You, Lance Franklin are a**hole of the highest order.
I said the club should get him back in 2004. If we were going to finish last we might as well get someone like him. I was think that we should draft him No.1, but we didn't finish last and we got him with pick No.5.
The player we drafted in 2004 has changed. It may be the people he deals with outside the club.
Don't let Franklin leaving spoil our premiership victory. Celebrate harder, what did he give to the Premiership win, one goal from a free kick. Don't drop supporting the club because of this, the people who are still at the club still need your support. Look at the players that resigned over the finals. They have shown their loyalty, and have shown that they mean it when sing that club song. They love their club and they play to win.

People change that's all I can put it down to. He was once very loyal, did love the club. However, as he got older and perhaps a little more street smart he began to see AFL footy for what it is - a business. Now he loves playing footy but he knows he can do that in Sydney too and go about his business/lifestyle in an unencumbered way (or so he thinks). As for fans we're all part of the herd and he's been around long enough to know how fickle we can be. We want excellence all the time in his eyes. So as a stake-holder we have little influence, after all Sydney has fans too.
So I say good-bye buddy, you think you are bigger and better than the HFC but this is where you will be proven wrong. The Sin city has seen your type before, chewed them up and spat them out. I'm happy I'll never have to defend your behaviour or dismiss any rumour or innuendo than constantly came up in regards to you. In fact I can revel in your impending downfall although I don't wish it upon you as not all of us are fickle.

I'm with you - he now plays for the swans and is therefore irrelevant

Unsubscribing

To me, Buddy seemed relatively detached in winning the grand final. (But I heard from somewhere that he was crying? Valedictory tears?)

Compare that with the emotional outpouring from Gibbo. The guy REALLY wanted this. It meant everything to him. I don't think the premiership was so important to Buddy.
I think premierships ARE important to Buddy - just not where he wins them & who for...

It is good to get it out of our system. Someone we have defended, someone we cheered for, someone we purchased merchandise of, get all of our anger here so we don't do something wrong in public when an opposition supporter tries to make us angry by bring up the Franklin situation.
What have we lost, someone who leaves his "mates" to go to a team that defeated us in a Grand Final 12 months ago. That is something that we don't need at the club. One for all and all for one, that's the way at Hawthorn. We are the mighty fighting Hawks.

Will be interesting if Lance's free kick count will go up as of next year.... Of course it will, the AFL will have a say in that. F..k me that dictator needs to go, uneducated f..k!
watch the differential skyrocket to the positive.

Watch any head high hit be protected. He will hit guys high and swan the couch will totally change their tune

Can't he just get the silicon ones like she did?

International Olympic Committee President Juan Antonio Samaranch says the winner is.....Sydney

I think this will come back and bite the Swans 9 years is a long time and for instance if he breaks down in a few years time they wil have to pay out the contract which is a lot of money to folk out in one year and they couldn't do it hence why AFL will step in a the offer should be reduced as this could break the AFL love child in years to come

Yup, was particularly galling to hear him talk about hopefully winning more premierships when he came out of his meeting with the AFL today. Sadly , with a fully fit Sydney list next year, he probably has a fair chance of doing so.
