I thought Jackson said he is opting out, not necessarily leaving.

Totally fergot about Dampier, got no idea where he will be heading...I think him opting out was a mistake.

Fisher wants to start and i'd guess the Lakers are gonna start Payton who took his player option.

East Rutherford, NJ, July 1 -- New Jersey Nets forward Rodney Rogers has declined to exercise the player option on the final year of his contract, Nets CEO Rod Thorn announced today. As a result of this action, Rogers becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Erick Dampier = Isaac Austin.

Career loser who puts up good numbers in a contract years. Good player, but will be overpaid.

That said, I'd take him in Seattle.

I think Dampier has been fairly consitent in his career. At the start of his career he was starting games and putting up 10ppg and 8rpg, then got injured and didnt start for 3 years. Finally fit this year so he started and got more game time and delivered better results. He will be fine next year.

DALLAS - The Mavericks have offered former point guard Avery Johnson a one-year contract for the veteran minimum of $1.1 million, a source close to the situation said.

But Johnson, who is also pondering more attractive offers from San Antonio and Charlotte, is seeking a contract for at least the Mavs' $1.6 million exception, the source said

Manu Ginobili

Manu has met with the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz in the past few days. Apparently would take $50/6years to move him from Texas.

Jamal Crawford

Up to 8 teams have shown interest in Crawford. Teams like Minnesota, Miami, Sacramento and New York are trying to do a sign and trade that would also see them take one of Chicago's many silly contracts.

Brent Barry

Houston have offered Bones $24M/4 years, bettering the $18M/3 years deal offered by Seattle.

Nuggets and Celtics also keen.

Rodney Rogers

He has excercised his option and will leave the Nets. Was to receive $3.35M

Malik Allen and Wang Zhi Zhi

Miami have excercised their option on both players.

Marcus Camby

Marcus has agreed to re-sign with the Nuggets. Alledgedly for $60M/6 years.

Marquis Daniels

Dallas has given the undrafted Daniels a $38M/6 year deal.

Carlos Boozer

On July 14, Boozer will sign a $41M/ 6 year deal. In exchange for such a long term, Cleveland won't hold him to the last year of his current contract, worth only $700K.

According to Brent himself, Seattle didn't offer him that, it was all a media beat-up and he wouldn't reveal the actul deal we have offered him. That said, no one will offer what Houston are, and if goes there, the Sonics are rumoured to be keen on Fisher.

Which would result in whatever bad contracted player NY take becoming an All-Star, leaving us to once again laugh at the Bulls.

Ginobili told Spurs officials he wants to remain with the team during a meeting at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday. Team officials repledged their willingness to give him a contract that will make him an important piece of the franchise's future.

Spurs officials spoke with Ginobili's agent on Monday with the hope of having more substantive negotiations over the next few days.

...

One Western Conference official also said Monday that Los Angeles Lakers free-agent guard Kobe Bryant has shortened his list of suitors to four teams: the Lakers, Clippers, Denver and the Spurs.

...

Spurs officials are supposed to speak with Bryant's agent, Rob Pelinka, this morning, but have not been told whether Bryant wants to meet with them.

...

Barring any last-minute problems, Bruce Bowen is expected to re-sign with the Spurs. Bowen's new deal likely will include two or three guaranteed seasons with a team option for one more year.

...

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich spoke with Avery Johnson on Monday night to discuss his future. A source said Johnson is close to agreeing to sign with Dallas as a player-coach. Contrary to a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Spurs had not made an offer to Johnson before Popovich spoke with him on Monday.

Seattle guard Brent Barry is said to have the Spurs at the top of his wish list, and San Antonio-- clearly in need of better perimeter shooting after blowing a 2-0 series lead over the Lakers in the second round -- might decide to let Turkoglu go to pursue Barry. Re-signing Ginobili remains the Spurs' top priority this summer ... barring the fantasy of Bryant telling San Antonio he wants to leave Shaquille O'Neal to play alongside Tim Duncan. Adding Barry and retaining Ginobili and defensive specialist Bruce Bowen would qualify as a strong off-season haul for the Spurs, but Houston has strong interest in Barry as well. The Rockets also have the added edge of Tracy McGrady -- who shares agent Arn Tellem with Barry -- to help with recruiting.

seriously what a joke,it makes it hard to barrack for cellar dwelling sides like GS when they routinely shoot themselves them in the foot like this.if i went for GS i would be hating life at the moment.averaged 3 points and 3 boards what a joke.the silly season has started.

in saying this i dont think gino is worth paying $50million for either.he is good but not that good and i hope the spurs dont bend over to much to accomodate him.

Free-agent center Adonal Foyle has agreed to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors to a five-year contract worth $41.6 million, his agent, Lon Babby, told ESPN Insider Chad Ford late Monday evening.

The deal, according to Babby, starts at $6.5 million next season and has a team option in Year 6 for a little over $10 million, Babby told Ford. Contracts cannot be officially signed until July 14.

The news will come as a blow to many teams hoping to land the oft-injured big man.

Foyle averaged 3.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 44 games for the Warriors last season. He was considered by many teams to be one of the few available big men willing to sign for the mid-level exception. However, in the end, Golden State gave him a far more lucrative deal to stay in the Bay Area.

Golden State's willingness to sign him to such a big contract likely spells the end of Erick Dampier's tenure in Golden State. Dampier is an unrestricted free agent and has been flirting with several teams, most prominently the Memphis Grizzlies.

Skip to ink SIX year deal

Rafer Alston, whose transformation from a street-ball legend to a playoff point guard with Miami proved one of the season's more uplifting stories, has reached a verbal agreement with the Toronto Raptors on a six-year deal believed to be worth $29 million, league sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

Miami had hoped to re-sign the guard widely known as Skip To My Lou for his role in the And1 Mix Tape series, but the Heat was reportedly hoping to split its $5 million mid-level exception between Alston and a power player such as Boston's Mark Blount.

When new Toronto general manager Rob Babcock came with a strong offer to lure him back to Canada, Alston agreed to become Babcock's first free-agent signing.
