Believe me it is a very trying experience right now. Having followed the Warriors since 1990 they have just about exhausted my patience.

Bad trades, overpaying players (Jamison and now Foyle), not being able to keep quality players (Arenas) because of overpaying other players (ie Jamison). Endless rotation of coaches.

Oh for the days of RUN TMC again.

Whats happening with K-Mart?
Apparently Denver are pretty keen on signing him...the Nets are trying to free up cap space so they can match any offers made to Martin.

As for the Warriors, they looked to be heading in the right direction a couple of seasons ago - Arenas, Richardson, Murphy & coach Musselman all seemed to be on the improve...

Who runs things over there now - Chris Mullin?.

Rafer Alston, whose transformation from a street-ball legend to a playoff point guard with Miami proved one of the season's more uplifting stories, has reached a verbal agreement with the Toronto Raptors on a six-year deal believed to be worth $29 million, league sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

Miami had hoped to re-sign the guard widely known as Skip To My Lou for his role in the And1 Mix Tape series, but the Heat was reportedly hoping to split its $5 million mid-level exception between Alston and a power player such as Boston's Mark Blount.

When new Toronto general manager Rob Babcock came with a strong offer to lure him back to Canada, Alston agreed to become Babcock's first free-agent signing.

Wouldn't mind Rafer, but the 6 year 29 mill deal we'd be dealing out is way too much.

The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers restricted free agent guard Quentin Richardson have agreed on an offer sheet that will pay the 24-year-old, fourth-year guard between $48 and $50 million, league sources told ESPN's David Aldridge.

When Richardson signs the sheet the Clippers will have 15 days to match the offer. The sources said the contract also includes additional incentives.

Richardson visited the Denver Nuggets earlier in the free agent period and was one of the players in whom Denver had the most interest. However, the Nuggets have turned their attention to Lakers free agent Kobe Bryant and Spurs restricted free agent Manu Ginobili.

The Clippers have indicated that they'd like to keep Richardson, but it would be impossible for them to do and continue their pursuit of Bryant. Los Angeles matched offer sheets last summer for forwards Elton Brand and Corey Maggette, but allowed forward Lamar Odom to leave for the Miami Heat.

Phoenix had initially targeted Spurs restricted free agent Hedo Turkoglu, but negotiations stalled on Tuesday when Turkoglu rejected a six-year, $24 million offer. Turkoglu reached agreement with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday on a six-year deal for the full mid-level exception.

The Suns have already signed free agent Steve Nash guard to a six-year, $66 million deal; if the Clippers don't match Phoenix's offer for Richardson, the Suns would have one of the league's most dynamic guard rotations, along with third-year man Joe Johnson.

Avery Johnson

The Mavericks are close to signing Avery Johnson to a $1.1M/1 year deal. Johnson reportedly refused offers from Charlotte and San Antonio to go to the Mavs.

Jamal Crawford

New York may need to part with Kurt Thomas, Frank Williams and Othella Harrington in order to get Jamal Crawford.
They would also need to take a big contract from Chicago.

Surely New York aren't that silly.

Gordon Giricek

Signed a $16M/4-year deal with Utah

Mark Blount

Philly offered him $37M/6-years, however Boston are likely to trump it.

Well it seems like we want to dump JYD and E-Robs contracts for ending deals... so something like Jamal to 6.5 mil, E-Rob 7 and JYD 6, means we can only take back around 15-16 mil because Jamal is going to make 20%+ more on his new contract.

Kurt Thomas + Dikembo + O.Harrington + Frank Williams I would do....we can then find a 3rd team to trade Kurt Thomas to like Seattle (Radmanovic and filler), Dallas etc who were all after Kurt before.

With this deal we will have one of the best cap's in a few years as long as we dont re-sign Tyson and Eddy to absurd deals.

Ohh and Pheonix heavily overpaid for Q, just like they did with Nash.

Maybe they are going to trade Barbosa, Matrix and Johnson for Kobe in a sign and trade? I bet the Lakers wont get a better offer than that.

Nash
Kobe
Q
Amare
Voskuhl?

The Suns could also pull a deal for Shaq aswell.

The offer to QRich definitely could imply that there is a deal in place for either JJ or Marion to be exchanged for a centre. The Suns could, and should trade Shawn Marion for Sam Dalembert and one of their ridiculously bad contracts, provided they get Blount at the MLE.

Nash
JJ
QRich
Amare
Dalembert

(Lampe, Carbarkapa, Barbosa)

Iverson
Iguodala
Marion
Kenny Thomas
Blount

(Snow, Green, M. Jackson)

Everyone's a winner!

Restricted free-agent Hedo Turkoglu and the Orlando Magic and have agreed to a six-year deal worth around $39 million, Turkoglu's agent, Lon Babby, told ESPN Insider's Chad Ford.

The contract, believed to be for Orlando's full mid-level exception, cannot be signed until July 14, at which point the San Antonio Spurs will have 15 days to match the Magic's offer.

"He's one of the few skill players available at that position," a Magic source said told ESPN's David Aldridge about Turkoglu. "We're planning on pushing the ball and running a lot and that's the type of system he flourished in in San Antonio."

In 80 games with San Antonio this past season, the 6-foot-10, 235-pound swing man from Turkey averaged 9.2 points and 4.5 rebounds. Overall, in three seasons with Sacramento and one in San Antonio, he has averaged 7.9 ppg and 3.8 rpg in 301 games.

Rumour is Ginobili has been offered a 6 year deal by the Nuggets starting at 9 mil  ... Ginobili's agent apparently denied it so I wonder how this will unfold.

The way free agentcy is going... Stephen Jackson, Jamal Crawford will propably end up signing for the MLE. Any team with capspace left??

I wonder if K-Mart will be s & t to Denver for Nene.

Miller
Ginobili
Anthony
Martin
Camby

That team can win the whole thing this year.

If Manu goes to Denver(which I don't think he will), Hedo to Orlando, Kobe back to LA, S Jackson elsewhere and Barry to Houston, the Spurs better have a backup plan.

If Kobe, Manu and Hedo go elsewhere... the Spurs will make Stephen Jackson an offer he cannot refuse.

Utah have offered Carlos Boozer 68 million over six years. Now he has to choose between that, and the maximum Cleveland can offer him, which is 40, but the possibility of a player option after two or three years.

Boozer has signed the offer sheet, which Cleveland won't be able to match.

Just caught it on ESPN as I'm getting ready for work.

This is going to be quite the sticky situation.

Evidently, it was Boozer and his agent who went to the Cavs (a year ago) to see if they would release him early from his contract, so that he could re-sign long-term with the Cavs.

Had the Cavs opted to have him play for 600k next season, they would've had his Bird Rights, and trump the offer that Utah currently has.

It would have been entirely different if Jim Paxson attempted to low-ball Boozer by signing him to the MLE this year, as opposed to the max next year, which remains a possibility.

There's two scenarios here...

1) Cleveland allows Boozer to go to Utah, and tries like crazy to land Stromile Swift, Kenyon Martin or worst case scenario, Tony Battie to starting PF.

2) Cleveland has to move Ilgauskas, possibly paired with Juanny Wags to obtain the necessary cap room to re-sign Boozer. In this scenario, Cleveland retains Boozer... but is there any trust between the two parties?

Carlos Arroyo

Carlos has re-signed with Utah, for $16M/4 years, like Giricek.

Mark Blount

Has re-signed with Boston, for $41M/6 years. Big turnaround for a bloke who swore to leave.

Utah is proving to be a bit of a player in the off-season. If Cavs don't keep Boozer then Utah would have a pretty good front court with Kiri, Boozer and Okur. There is some serious potential there.

So much for not being able to attract good free agents to Utah.

Of course, all this can come unstuck if Pistons match the offer for Okur and Cavs somehow keep Boozer.

Ginobili reaches agreement with Spurs

The contract will be for six years and between $50 million and $55 million, according to the source. Ginobili's agent, Herb Rudoy, declined to comment but said he may have something to announce Friday concerning Ginobili's status.

Ginobili had narrowed his choices to two teams -- the Spurs and Nuggets, but his first choice was always to return to San Antonio. Ginobili is currently in his native Argentina and is getting married on Saturday.

Cleveland should clear the cap room by trading Ilgauskas to Atlanta for a couple of second rounders or a future-first or some such deal.

Cleveland could then one-up Boozer by not matching his deal, giving KMart the max... and all of a sudden the Cavs are back to a somewhat more respectable posish. Slide Battie to starting centre, but give a lot of a minutes to Diop so he can develop into a defensive monster alongside Martin.

Having said all this, I think Jim Paxson clearly lacks foresight, so they'll probably stand pat.

You're right. I can't see Cavs doing that.

Hell without Boozer Cavs look like a rather ordinary side. Boozer was heart and soul of the Cavs IMHO.
