What the hell is going on?
Clearly Harvs is looking at Head thru rose coloured glasses.
Unfortunate that Clinkers gets dropped.
Surprised to see Murphy of Kiwi didnt make the cut.
I thought we could've really done with a true out of the square FF this week against that saints. But what would I know?
I dont rate Head, but clearly the selectors do.... in a purely non sexual way.
hahahaha, great call for a sista.:thumbsu:

If Head plays Harvey's a bigger moron than Connolly. Seriously, WTF?!?!

When he missed that shot on goal from 20 metres out because he had no right foot I got angry but when I calmed down I figured atleast that will seal his fate. But no.

Fremantle
B:
Roger Hayden, Michael Johnson, Chris Tarrant
HB: Josh Head, Antoni Grover, Steven Dodd
C: Rhys Palmer, Paul Hasleby, Garrick Ibbotson
HF: Daniel Gilmore, Luke McPharlin, Byron Schammer
F: Brett Peake, Matthew Pavlich, Kepler Bradley
Foll: Aaron Sandilands, Ryan Crowley, David Mundy
I/C: Dean Solomon, Stephen Hill, Nic Suban, Paul Duffield
Emg: Matt de Boer, Clayton Hinkley, Ryan Murphy

In: Hayden, Duffield
Out: Greg Broughton (ankle), Clayton Hinkley

These 3 blokes would want to have decent games.

Bradley - Clarke is in good form and if he's going to debut you'd expect it to be at home i.e. next week. Murphy played well for Souths last week with 7 goals. Campbell would be pretty close to being match fit as well. Pressure is on.

Head - Duffield was dropped for making errors. Fine. At least Duffield was getting the ball and taking the game on. Only the 9 disposals and 3 marks for Head last week. With at least 3-4 errors.

Dodd - Same as Head. Not enough possession last week, and to many errors. His defensive work is good, but it's not making up for his other failings at the moment.

Hinkley getting dropped after one game is ******ed. Obviously our loss last week was a 6 gamers fault. Solomon, Dodd, Crowley, Mundy, Johnson, Bradley, Schammer etc had nothing to do with it...

The biggest positive to come out of this game will be that there will be less than 30k supporters at Subiaco next week. It'll be like the good ol' days, no crowds, no lines. Woohoo!

Has Head been as bad as most of us think? His stats, although not inspiring, don't look all that bad for a full time defender. He doesn't get the ball an awful lot but maybe he's that "accountable" defender that some people seem to be enamoured of. Anyway it's not a bad thing if he gets a block of games for the coach to make a judgement on.

well good to see haydos named and duffield rewarded for WAFL performance. I am glad Murphy did not come straight back in that would have really shat me, saying that I would prefer that option over keeping Head in the team after clearly proving time and time again he is never going to make it as an AFL footballer. Obviously this is contrary to Harvey's belief who thinks he has recruited a fine piece of Kelmscott cattle.

I just find he's far too slow for AFL. You can almost see the wheels in his head turning when he's got the ball, then to make matters worse he telegraphs what he's going to do once he's finally decided.
I just hope he is learning and makes us knockers look stupid because a youngster is missing out while he's in the side.

...and what about when he bounced when he had an opponent on his clacker!

C'Mon Dom. Hasn't the penny dropped yet? It was a huge surprised he didn't get dropped after Rd 1, then it was unnnnbeeelievable when he didn't get dropped after Rd 2, so why would you expect to see him dropped this week?

I'm telling you, as long as Harvey employs the zone game plan, Head will get a gig. He's our "Clint Young" or "Brent Guerra". Who else have we got that can play half back, has pace and can kick with penetration? Suban's heading in that direction, but he's not ready yet. Thornton can't kick, Drum doesn't have the mobility, Dodd can't kick...who else???

I think you're on the money there Scham. I reckon they spent a lot of effort preseason in developing Head for this role.Harvey is not about to flush this down the gurgler just yet.

Admit it, you don;t actually watch the games do you, if you're going by his stats?

Head has been absolutely woeful and you only have to pick 1 of our 3 games so far to see that, he has actually gotten worse each game, it disgusts me and deeply shames me.

Hall elujah....hallelujah..hallelujah

MY BUDDY IS BACK!!!!

ohh...and i am interested to see how Head will go with Hayden back in...I think Head was asked to play a similar role to what Hayden usually does and absolutely stuffed it. That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing what role our headache plays this week.

Did I mention THAT MY BUDDY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you have got to be kidding me!!!! why the hell is gilmore in the team!!!!:mad:
he has done nothing and will continue to.. i prefer head with a passion than have gilmore!!!

We win games against all odds from time to time. Lets hope this is one of them [I'm not holding my breath though]

Firstly I think it's funny people are getting upset about Head being in the team. Secondly, we don't want to win this game, so having Head in is a good thing, who knows, after 15 to 20 games he may come good. We need to give him at least 20 games this season to see.

We should be dropping the more experienced players and bringing in the U20s. It's an embarrassment that we have a team that is pretty much on average with other teams in age when there are so many rookies to try out and we are such poor performers. Drop MiJo, Mundy, Solomon, Crowley and Grover who have played like girls blouses and bring in the kids.

No point getting thrashed by 60 with all those senior players in the team wasting development space, get thrashed by 80 with kids. Least there is an upside then.

Cant believe Bradley and Head are still in the team.

Surely Cambpell deserves a chance after last years form.

Also think Grover is on his last legs.Last week he was hopeless below his knees. As good as he has been he is becoming very average.

He's not accountable though Yaka, poor in the air and woeful one on one.

Hey guys, sorry to drop in, but was wondering if anyone could shed some light on Broughton's injury? I have tried to find out about it just about everywhere, yet havent been able to find anything saying what he has done.

Is it a simple strain/roll or has he done something more serious? From all reports, started solidly last week?

lol, I forgot about that. :p

He's not that quick though, is crap in the air, has no awareness and sure he can kick long but doesn't hit targets. But if that's what Harv's is looking for make Hayden accountable and let Ibbo play the quarter back role. He certainly ticks more boxes.

Clancee Pearce is already better than Head IMO.

How old do you think Head is Memories? He's older than Johnson, Mundy, Dodd and Crowley.

If you're shit at 26 you'll always be shit.
