6-8 weeks for recovery. Will put a big dent in his pre season

That would mean preseason starts at the end of Jan for him!!

Wonder if they extend his preseason and just start him in round 4-6 onwards or just give him the short preseason and get him on the ground.

He should be able to keep somewhat fit. A bung shoulder won't stop him from running.

Hopefully we can get him out on the park round 1. Our first few games are tough, not having Fyfey on the ground will make it tougher

What was the game he played last year where his arm was half hanging off? (Didn't stop him from going in hard and smashing blokes when he had to)

Wonder if it is the same shoulder? I know he's had problems in the past but seemed to be past them.

Geelong. I was at that game and the amount it was getting targeted off the ball was just disgusting. And yep same shoulder.

Could be up to 10 weeks before any physical contact for Fyfe and no running for the first 6 to 8 weeks. Dr Peter Larkins is working with Fyfe so he is in good hands after his surgery in Melbourne .

If there's a small silver lining, the AFL season for us doesn't start until April the 5th, I can easily see Fyfe being held back from most or all of the nab challenge and he'd still get a good 2 months of contact work, along with 2-4 weeks of running beforehand as per coulda
