Only just had the chance to read the proposal on their website following the article this morning.
Their proposal involves the government spending money on:

• A new stadium + Brisbane Live
• Multiple new pedestrian bridges
• An upgraded RNA stadium for AFL/Cricket AU to play at during the Gabba rebuild
• And, moving the EBSS students somewhere - where that is isn't mentioned in their proposal either.

As you and others have mentioned this proposal came out some time ago.
It had to be after the ill-conceived RNA proposal from the government as that's still mentioned.
Since then, one of the heritage listed grandstands at the RNA has to be dismantled brick by brick to make it safe.
And the best thing for Lions and cricket is of course no Gabba rebuild/major upgrade
Five years without a home would be a huge issue for both codes

Hal Architects website lists apartments, houses, town houses and a few commercial projects. No stadia experience
Maybe they are trying to get into bigger projects but need to lift their game big time for that to happen.

Can Brisbane Arena fit in the Wooloongabba CRR site. Going on The Gabba size it should easily.
Not that i want it anywhere but it looks set to be built somewhere.

My professional drawing lines:
Blue - Brisbane Arena should fit on the site and not over any underground rail line or station.
Green dots/dash - This is where people will enter and exit the station
EDIT: Brown - Clem 7 underground toll road

A hellscape? I’ve been there multiple times since the golf course closed as it’s a great place to take the dog for a walk and it’s lovely parkland. There’s always people using it when I’m there, people having picnics, people walking with and without dogs, students often sitting there. Always heaps of people using the driving range and various function spaces as well.

Having said that, I fully support the idea of a stadium there as there’s more than enough room to have it and keep heaps of parkland. There was a photo on the Sunday Mail online story a few weeks ago that showed the whole space from Vic Park across to the Gabba and shows how small the Gabba space is in comparison to Vic Park.

But you weren't there when Elixuh was. The bit he left out is that everywhere becomes a hellscape when he's there, because he is inevitably Lucifer.

Pretty funny, but I'm a bit of a believer that how you do something is how you do everything. And if you're happy to post up an awful typo in big font like this, imagine what small but important details you're going to miss in the construction of a stadium precinct for the Olympics.

Full disclosure, the Arcadis report does spell "incorporate" without an r somewhere in their proposal, but that's hardly the front of a social media post.

Taking a closer look at this. Despite all the above misgivings, the most fantastical and unrealistic part of the whole thing is the Brisbane River...so clean and still that you get reflections of the CBD in it!

Yes, the Brisbane River is more towards the dark brown - black color now. Has been since the rains came about 6 weeks ago.
I had a walk over the new green bridge on Sunday and took a few photos on my phone which i don't do too often.
The color of the river is fairly accurate.
On the bridge. That is the 4th one in the CBD area and i wonder if another will be added before the Olympics.

One already released is dubbed Brisbane Bold, which says a 60,000-seat stadium could be built at Victoria Park for $2.6bn.
Victoria Park is the favoured site for Queensland Cricket and the Brisbane Lions, which are understood to have their own plan that is different to Brisbane Bold - but opponents say the green space should be preserved.
This option would avoid any displacement for the Lions and cricket, which can continue playing at the Gabba while Victoria Park is under construction.

The river in August is much more likely to be a dark jade colour as runoff is usually at its lowest that time of year. But yea, looks a little like something out of Willy Wonka's factory at the moment.

7 News had an exclusive, albeit short, chat with Greg Swann. Their meeting with the review was just over 2 hours and no plans have been publicly released, yet. Both Lions/Cricket bosses are happy with the process though

Toowong to West End is progressing, Schrinner confirmed it on Sunday. But he also confirmed that the West End to St. Lucia bridge would be scrapped.

I actually think that makes sense. We probably don't need both. And there's already a ferry service that runs across the river from St Lucia to West End so if you were going to dump one of the two bridges, that's the one you'd drop.
