Only if he stays. If he's set on going to Melb we can match and then find him a suitable home (even if we pick up some of the salary).

We can always also restructure a JK or NN contract to temporarily fit Gaff in. There's a number of guys who haven't signed for 2019, e.g. Ah Chee, LeCras so 2019 will have enough space for Gaff for the 1 week we'd have him on our list.

The whole point of Restricted FA is so the clubs have some power over the compensation. If it's truly North or nothing then North need to pony up... he can always enter the draft ala Luke Ball or work with other Melb based clubs to get his desired salary.

I hope if he goes we don't go limp and just let him walk for the compo.

SPP makes sense as a part time stoppage player/defensive forward.

His crappy kicking matters less, his pressure is valuable and he is a good kick for goal.

You have to wonder too that he played for our reserve team yet we didn't pick him up. Maybe the club knew he had issues or was already at his peak.

I just think that saying "Adding SPP, Lobb, Kelly means player x, y, z isn't needed/plays WAFL"

It's not about the players as individuals, it's about how they work together. Ablett, Selwood and Dangerfield did **** all in the bigger picture. No guarantees all these player create/provide the strengths to have a balanced team who can fight for the premiership.

However, I'll back the coaches to make the right decisions.

Who would give them their EXCLUSIVE info? If you had definitive proof of the decision, you’d give it to a news outlet and set yourself up as a source forever. I try to block these pages every time I see one and yet they still keep coming up. Must be school holidays.

It's not about gaff, he should have been smiling and rejoicing instead of sulking and crying in the public's eyes.
Go cry privately but don't put a dampener on the premiership win and make it about himself.

Plus we saw what losing Priddis and Mitchel did to our team with others stepping up and this year with the injuries others stepped up.

The bold, that ticked me off as well, good luck to him where ever he goes, we showed this year we are not a one man team, will be a loss to the team, but we have had the best of him, i don't think he will get any better.

He has given us good service since being drafted, and have no issue with him going where he chooses, clubs delist players all the time surplus to their needs, so i've always been of the belief the players should get to choose who they are employed by, more so if the dollars being thrown around are correct, good on him.

Just send Hutch to him when we play the kanga's next year if he is there
