My bad lemme rephrase, have you ever seen a player try to claim they want a kick at goal but the umpire turns them down? Generally umps will do that if they are too far out.

Unsure of the stats in that quarter but felt like the first 10 mins Brodie was picking up hardballs and hitting handballs that put players in forward momentum that completely altered our clearances.

There’s clearances of hacking balls forward and then there’s positive clearances where you can put the ball deep inside 50m.

The pick up of Brodie is unbelievable.

Young and Noddy to keep on attempting those funky inboard kicks are great to see.

Colyer turning inside was awesome to see.

Awesome quarter. The boys thinking their way through stuff. The upside is incredibly massive.

That quarter was more indicative of how much better than Essendon I thought we were. The ridiculous turnovers in the first half made it a lot closer than the 4 or 5 goal margin it should have been.

I think I made a comment at half time about that. We looked the better side that was hanging on for some reason.

Looked better. Have to finish this off strong now to earn the full gold star for this performance
