Ben King could do a Geelong this week and kick a bag after halftime. It's just a matter of time before he rips a game apart. He could still kick fifty goals this year, and his first few games will be forgotten.

King was on the end of 3-4 good passes against the cats. Just fumbled at the last moment. Was getting to the right places which is the most encouraging thing.

Against at kilda our passes forward did him no favours. He was also defended by Wilkie who has received some wary talk as an AA defender.

Keep him in.

This Board is hilariously bipolar at times-self included but just let me say Ben King will never-emphasis on the never- be dropped while playing for the GC Suns
And nor should he ever be

Yeap, completely insane to suggest dropping Ben King especially when he was mostly decent so far. A lot of players were below average against Sains. So, are we dropping half of the team including a future potential superstar forward coming from serious injury who other teams would love to have and would offer him 1M+? And replace him with Chol who was lazy and non-existent in the first AFL and 2 following VFL games? But Chol scored 3 and 2 goals in 2 VFL games, I can already hear the argument (and yet Burgess and Day still worked harder than him). So King who scored 5 goals in AFL games is holding out Chol who also scored 5 goals so far this season in AFL/VFL games combined while Burgess and Day scored 7 each?

We should probably also drop Rowell after 12 disposals game and Miller who is not in his best form. Yeah, replace them with Blakely or even better with Tsitas, both working hard in VFL. Why not to also drop Ballard who looked like witches' hat and replace him with Graham who is our best defender in VFL. Why not to drop Swallow who could not kick a goal directly from 25m. Let insanity rule.

Yes, King could not stick hands to ball against Cats but otherwise was good in that game and could easily score 4 goals. He run good leads, worked hard.

We tend to get a tad carried away for sure. The suggestion of sacking Dew immediately is also humorous, we're one game out the 8 and some favourable games coming up. Mid point bye is the absolute earliest even then don't think it will happen.

I seriously thought we could have been 5 and zip looking at the draw
Then I was really disappointed on Saturday because I was expecting us to win:drunk:
Instead we got a good old fashioned pantsing
So we go 3 and 2 it's not disastrous
But I'm less and less impressed by Dew's match day control
Say what you like about Rocket but he at least had a plan B on match day-and he needed it with the cattle he was coaching

Darcy v Moyle will be interesting, feels like Darcy is the final evolution of Moyle

Darcy 203cm/111kg

Moyle 206cm/104kg

Dew will pick Moyle, but I kinda feel playing Chol in the ruck would benefit the team more. More versatility, more possessions around the ground. More link up work. Make Chol work his arse off. Be good for him.

The biggest weakness of Chol is that he is a burst player, not an endurance one.

He doesn’t have the tank to be a full-time ruck.

We know it’s unlikely we’ll get more than 2-3 changes from the coaches…

Dews strength and weakness is stubbornly backing in the players he believes are best 22.

Well, here are a few changes we could make without changing too much in our team line-up and keeping our “best 22” on the park, but in more natural positions and maintaining team balance.

Jeffery out, with Luko to take his spot, which keeps two keys and a medium-tall forward (with a good field kick).

If we must play Hollands, move him to the bench as the rotating forward-mid and get him off the damn wing, or get him to sub.

Move Powell (intercepting, kicking) or Weller (kicking, pace) to a wing in place of Hollands/Luko/Swallow. Bring in Lemmens to take their place in the backline.

Drop Ace for Ellis as the defensive winger.

Could swap Andrew for Farrar as well, but if we think Fremantle will run three talls (doubtful) maybe keep him.

So, out: Ace, Jeffrey, (Andrew)
In: Ellis, Lemmens, (Farrar)

Then in game, rotate Humphrey, Ainsworth, Swallow and maybe a speedy player through the middle at times.

FF: Humphrey, Casboult, Holman
HF: Ainsworth, King, Rosas
C: Ellis, Miller, Powell
RR: Moyle, Rowell, Anderson
HB: Long, Ballard, Weller
FB: Lemmens, Collins, MacPherson

Int: Luko, Sexton, Hollands, Swallow, Andrew/Farrar — with one being the sub.

So we drop Ace for an experienced Ellis, add more pace and poise to the other wing by moving Powell/Weller up, make our defence more disciplined with Lemmens’ leadership, and play people in their preferred positions with Hollands. And Dew doesn’t have to drop half of his chosen ones like we all want…

I considered Chol, Sharp and a few VFL players etc. and wouldn’t be opposed to it. I just kept things simple.

I reckon thats pretty close to how the team will line up. Going by instagram clip of training it seems chol may be in, so maybe chol for hollands with a tall to be subbed out 2nd half

Chol dominated the vfl I thought, played with a real physical presence which I think he was dropped for originally
If we're going with Moyle again, I'd rather play Chol over Levi.

Chol offers a lot more in the ruck and maybe Moyle can rest up forward offering King a bit of help.
