The most over-rated player in the GDFL. Only seems ok because he plays in the worst side in Geelong. Nowhere near as good as he gets rated. Most decent 2's players in the GDFL would look like him in the Cheetah's 1's. He is the only bloke that remotely looks like a footballer. How bad are they going to be next season!

Gee your a positive person. Thanks for turning me off this forum, the rest of the guys that comment here would like to hear some postive local footy chat from someone different even if they where involved from a less successful club.
I bet you have not put your heart and soul into anything before.

He and his club think he is a superstar. Hope he enjoys Hampden FL 2's.

Finally on Corio they play fantastic home and away footy but the chip and charge game they play is not suited to the bigger grounds. Have a look who has beaten them in finals and you will note they had one, maybe two key forwards and they played direct footy.

Don't assume things mate because that is just wrong, he was under a 2 year deal and his contract ran out.

Brent Grgic has been named the new senior coach of Bell Post Hill and this should be good for the club moving forward.

Will Vassilou be the first to sign up next year after missing out on a clearance to BPH this year?
 
Chris Carlon announced as coach of Blue West.........heard it on the radio about 10 minutes ago. The lad has quite a task on his hands !!!

East: M O'leary, Hoey, Prymke (heading home).

BPH: N Lewis, May, Cavka, Farrar, Venner, Dckson, all mid 30's

Thomson: Hyland, Harriot, Maheras, Wallace (gone), Gardiner (never discount), Peacock, Menzies.

Bannockburn: Riccardi, Lewis, Bliss (?) Kolleger,

Werribee: to be least affected, Chugg, Hardingham slowing up, Bourke ?

Some good names among those listed? Thoughts??

Have heard Harriott and Maheras have retired, but you may see them with whistle in hand on a saturday, joining Murray Fanning and co.
 
Has Luke McLean deal been done at Thompson, heard today that Ben Setchell has been appointed for next two years after returning from tassie. Can anyone confirm or deny. Any thoughts if true.

Will fill the void left by Hoey if true. I still think that all East need is an injection of leg speed, to accomodte the "big bodied" team they have.

For Baz to leave, where does this leave the devils, Devils? Bill gone, Rick unsure, Stewy getting long in the tooth along with a few others, it maybe time for the Devils to bite the bullet, cop a few lean years, save some money and totally promote youth. They injected a few gems this season, continue on that path???????????????

I think DEVILS who is a regular on here will be able to answer that. They always seem to have pretty good juniors so might be an idea.

You're mistaken Read all about it! Not a chance Pilgrim and Dillon on that sort of money, will be around half that. Not sure if Drake, Bliss or Naylon will go around again at Banno and chance Riccardi will have an assistants role at Werribee VFL and only play a few games for Banno. I'd say it's more than likely Matt and Paddy Dillon will follow Ross.

Id say its fairly likely Ricky and a few others will leave Corio but don't know about Baz.

McLean definate at Thomson. Have heard they are having a crack at getting Dean Oakley back from Anglesea.

Is this the Luke McLean that played for East and Newcomb.
Heard he has signed with Geelong West in the GFL. Any truth or still on the market

I think you will find I am very close to the mark on the renumeration for these 2 to coach. I gave you the mail on Riccardi heading to Werribee, if all goes well, my source hasn't let me down yet!
 
Belmont appear to be raiding the coffers of Sth Barwons U18 side. A few youngsters cannot forsee a game anytime soon for the Swans, since the re-introdution of retiree's for the finals, and have had some money (not a great deal) dangled in front of them to join the Lions. Spider?
