Over the top odds for a side (Collingwood) that has won 4 out of the last 6 games against Geelong.
Thats not much of a stat when you you realise that the two teams have played each other only once each year for the last four years.

OK,

Over the top odds for side (Collingwood) that was within 16 points of Geelong this YR and defeated them a YR ago by more than 100 points.

Don't forget all the pressure will be on the Cats, and really Collingwood have probalby overachieved this year, and would be happy just to make it to the PF.

I hate the Pies fully, but I reckon Collingwood don't Geelong, but boy the crowd will be a factor next week, this will be the biggest Prelim final since 1999.

Wouldn't say we're basing it on that.

We closed within 16 points this YR, IMO and also stated by MM, one of our worst performances this YR. We were missing our best defender & our captain, who have both returned to the side.

You would be niave to deny Collingwood match up well against Geelong.

i'll be backing the pies if i can get those kind of odds.... under 39.5 for sure & maybe look at getting on them 1-19 points or wait & see what they offer on margin betting. I bet all the bookies will be rubbing their hands together this week.... a big game & two victorian clubs .... lots of $$$ to be won & lost

I don't want to look too far ahead, but I'd be interested to know the odds if Geelong took on Port in the GF...I reckon they'd be 1.30 which would be pretty short odds for a GF, the shortest since Essendon 2000 most likely.

just listening to SEN & the guy from sportsbet has said that

Collingwood will be $3.50
Cats $1.30

Line betting will be around 24 points in...

sounds good to me

Yesterday prior to the Eagles I backed Collingwood to win the flag at 12/1, my contention was that if they could get over the Eagles at Perth then they are a threat subject to injuries. I feared the Eagles at home more than Geelong or the likely other GF contender Port Adelaide.

Good value on the Pies. They are one of the only teams to get so close to the Cats.

Dont worry Geelong wont win, look at what happened with St Kilda years ago, the week before the GF they were being asked questions about what it was like to win the flag etc hoo ha hoo ha, they got rolled........Geelong's worst enemy is the Media Hype.

All the Geelong triumphalism is already getting tedious. Imagine if they actually win the flag. They will be unbearable. Poorly performed clubs do go over the top when they look like having some success.
