dont count the best CHF to play at centrals in heath buck, out of the coaching position. is held in very high regards around the club and would be a better fit than keenan and wright.
Is he still playing?

I remember when he played for The Hammerheads in the WRFL and he was far too good for Division 2 WRFL.

Heard he got made to cry by the bannock boys on Mad Monday as he's been knocking off a senior players missus.. Wont be there next year.. most disrespected player in geelong

Firstly, every league needs a Wayne Carey. Secondly, I only cried because the onion was strong in my hamburger and thirdly I may be disrespected but where was Woodsy when I nearly got us into a grand final single handedly?? Bang Bang....

There is a strong possibility that a recent GDFL coach may not be playing at his current club next year as suggested on here, but may be heading back to one of is original clubs to play.

Don't be shy, Hulkster. I know one shouldn't, but I assume you are talking about Haami?

Just threw the line out there and it didnt take you to long to bite. How should i know what he is doing. You are the man out there you know more than i do.

Hows the coach hunting going??

You know more than you are letting on. There are rumors going left, right and centre about him and you know him very well!
I see Fopiani signed with North Geelong.
We've got a couple more interviews and I'm going to spend a bit of time this week making a few more calls. See if there is anyone else we should talk to before we make a decision. Hopefully they will be on board before our AGM in 3 weeks time

Would not be surprised to see Haami back at Geelong Amateurs next year. Not a definate but on the cards.

Any names Spider on coaches.

All in good time Hulkster.

I've heard something about him perhaps returning to Sth. Barwon aswell.
I can only go by what he has told me, and that is he is staying.

Apparently another GDFL club have asked him to go there on more that one occasion in a joint coaching role but he has declined

saw leigh hardman celebrating mad monday with the thomson boys... could be a sign of things to come.

Definately not mate, i hav a good feelin he will be bak at north nxt year..
congrats to north geelong on a massive signing with frank fopiani appointed coach for the nxt 2 years.. he smarts and experience will be very important in the young sides developement

Would love to see Hammi stay in the GDFL. Not only a great player but a good role model.

That would be Thomson.

Thats the whisper I heard. The other posts are right though. It would be a shame to lose him from the league. We should be working hard to attract more people of his quality from other leagues, and not poach them from within our own clubs.

Wasn't Mullane-Grant at Ballan previously as assistant and walked out of them mid way through a quarter when benched after being pantsed by some kid? Dont know if you would want a bloke like that back at your club.

Ricky Otoole to coach Corio with Billy Nicholls to be his Assistant for 2009 and still in discussions about who will be the other 2 Assistants.

Totally untrue, I left Ballan because I was too good for that league and the women were all single...not much of a challenge!!!

He isnt going to Thomson.

Players going from league to league will not stop, when someone leaves there is always another to replace them (Fopiani).

So 3 assistants then, sounds like a lot. To many chefs can spoil the broth you know.
Na 1 chief and 3 excellent leaders supporting him.
Tmg would be more then welcome to come to the devils den for a run in 2009 great player and great bloke.

tmg would fit right in at corio, think thats a great idea.(just keep a close eye your wives or girlfriends) banno should pay for him to leave.

He is certainly welcome at East as is anyone else who wants to play and especially those that can play.

Everyone starts with a clean sheet at a new club and then have the opportunity to do with it what they want.
