going out in straight sets would cause mayhem down at the devils. good win by bannockburn alot quicker around the park. back to the old discipline issues in last quarter for the devils. could be worse next week with a jumpstart by the other team

i hope not.

Reading this mornings paper, one would suggest that East were never in it. The margin for mine was totally unexpected, and both games seemed to have bucked against the trend of past encounters. Makes for an interesting semi final weekend.

Pretty disappointing end to the season for East. Will be interesting to see if they keep the same list together over the pre-season considering quite a few of their better players aren't locals.

What is it with Corio and finals?

Some of those old fat legs must have found the going a bit quick in the second half on the wide expanses of St.Alban's reserve.

I thought Corio if they played the way they have at times this year would be a serious challenger for Thomson who are still my outright favourite. I reckon though stright sets are a big possibility for the Devils. They looked sluggish in the second half and Bell Post Hill ran all day an blew East away.

I thought BPH would struggle without a big bloke but skroba went to defence to try and plug the leak. Means they may not hold fears against Stewart either.

uh huh not to mention Stewart who'll poll well tonight I reckon

and Nicholls had a great end to the season. Corio going out in straight sets???......not going to help their cause with a few players out on it all Sat night and then a couple continuing on without a let up at St Albans yesterday.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Clayton Trotter right up there as well,he and inverleigh have had good years and he's a proven vote getter.Still think it would have to come from a top 5 side as history shows thats where they normally come from.

Well done to S lewis. As I predicted both he and Stewart polled well. Surprised at my other selection of Curtis, not polling that great.

congratulations lewy on the medal. well deserved and i would think would back that up with bph's b&f comfortably also

well what a fantastic night! congratulations must go to Shaun Lewis who basically romped home in the end.. TMG, Stewart and Trotter all tied for second in what ended up being a fizzer.. Lewis was home with about 3 games to go... great night hosted by buckleys... biggest suprises of the night for me..

- Ricky O'Toole not named in team of the year
- Jed Potter only polling around 8 votes
- Martin Curtis unbelievably did not poll a single vote.. i picked him to win it:eek:
- Lewis polled 2 votes in a game he spent 2 an 1/2 quarters on the bench for.. tell me how that works:confused:
- Skroba not polling a vote in a game he kicked 9 goals in..
- Blake Hutchison being the early leader.. fantastic effort for a youngster, especially considering North Geelong struggled this year.. he would have been a realistic chance if he'd played the full season

Surely buckleys hosting a good night must be the biggest surprise of the night:D
