with Scott Donohue i rate him as a player very highly could of been like his little brother in Adam and made it in the AFL but he hit the piss to early in his life
nah great player scott donohue and a great bloke and i heard he might be havin a run with grovedale footy club in the GFL this year but dont know if thats true
any way always a scotty donohue fan
sorry guys the toughest guy i ever seen was Mark (sharky) Otoole there is definately no-one in gdfl harder and theres no-one even close to him toe to toe
ask leah matherson how tough he is am lead 2 beleave she would know.matt day no fear havnt seen many people run back with fight of the ball like himdarren wagner is 10 times the player scott donohue is
As I said champ I might be wrong so thanks for correcting me.
stewart never played under tyquin stewart left after 93 and went to play at st.albans then over to s.a in safl and tyquin coached corio in 95 to their only senior flag

no disrespect to this years grand finalist but they would not have got close thompson Corio or Werribee with the sides they had between 2001 and 2006 so you would think with corio getting these players back they deserve to be early favourites and stewart and nichols are fair inclusions definately the best ruckman in gdfl now and nicholls will win league b & f bye a mile
He did play a year at North Geelong but don't think he played a lot of games because of injuries. Cant remember if he had a year off footy or even played for another side other than North Shore before joining the pies.
Nicholls will strugle to play next year, injury proned, dodgy calves! he has played roughly 10 games in last 2 season's. The only way he'll win the medal is if u plonk him in the goal square and just kick it up 2 him all day!

Settle down one and all. Yes Corio look as if they are going to improve but it is a long season and anything can happen.
But i must say it looks as though the GDFL is going to be a pretty tightly fought league. Corio obviously will be up there, Belmont as the reigning premiers cant be discounted, Thomson with Glen Wallace will be there abouts, East Geelong should be ok and Bannockburn are usually around the mark.
Should be a good season.
Would i be correct in saying that GDFL clubs have become a lot more professional in the last couple of years. In the past it has been a dirty league (in the sense of on field violence) but this looks to have improved, barring the odd incident which happens in most leagues. And its ability to attract quality coaches such as Haami Williams and now Glen Wallace (although never coached before) Ricky O'Toole as well which has led to better players coming to the league.
With the elitist attitude of the GFL i think the GDFL is becoming a better alternative and is fast closing the gap on the BFL ceratainly in terms of depth of quality teams. For players wanting to play in Geelong it is becoming a better alternative than the BFL. Things are looking bright for the GDFL .

are you suggesting an interleague game between these 2 leagues?
are you suggesting an interleague game between these 2 leagues?
i think that would be perfect i think the gdfl really could take it up to the bfl very easily with the number of quality players in the league
have heard that gdfl have contacted warrnambool and district to play them in 2008, not sure on how correct but have heard that former winch coach paul price has been asked to coach gdfl side.are you suggesting an interleague game between these 2 leagues?

Typical GDFL.
Paul Price as GDFL coach would be an absoulute joke

If any thing it would be a good crowd puller.
Lets play it at Kadinia Park.

I'm led to believe that the interleague idea has been scrapped, as the men @ headquarters are crying poor, and cannot afford to conduct the event.

I think Paul Price is a prefect coach for the GDFL interleague team.
speaks well, has been around for a bit
Why do you think its a joke Kooley?
