Don't no how you got the info on me being a 2's player? Ive played more games in the 1's than 2's! YA KNOB! and either way, 2's GFL is better than 1's GDFL!

Big news coming in, Darren Wagner has decided too come out of retirement and put the body through one more year. This news has started a bidding war between Winchelsea and Corio. My money is on Winch gaining his services as i don't think Corio with all there new recruits would be able to afford his asking price.

I now know who DC is and he is a fringe senior GFL footballer, i think he would walk straight in to any GDFL side. Although i disagree with the GDFL vs GFL 2's argument in a way. The top 3 GDFL sides i think would cover any GFL 2's sides. But on the other hand Nth Shore 2's had say 12-14 players that i think would be walk up starts in any GDFL side and they came runner up, so leopold must of had some handy players as well.

If your serious and can play, you shouldnt bother in the GDFL. have a look at GFL or the BFL, much better standard!

I agree GFL and BFL is alot better standard but a good gdfl player would be a good player in both those leagues, the depth is the difference, mate seriously are you just angry at life or not just getting a bit cos all you do is bag everyone you must be able to play or fight?

Drago wats the latest on the Adam Scrobalak dramas, is it all cleared up or are they still trying to make an example of him, one in which i believe is disgraceful, why dont they just let him get on and play the league needs players like him!

Was informed last night that Clayton Trotter has been spotted at Corio training. Anyone confirm?

Clayton Trotter has been training back @ Inverleigh and that looks like were he is going to stay.

I heard that he was offered HUGE dollars at A Miniera Club and knocked it back!
I'm curious to know if anyone knows what would go through his head, when he makes a decision to knock back an offer
( in the mid-high hundreds) to stay at the Hawks!

Although with the quality running around at Inverleigh, one would think that there highest paid player would be worth no more than $20, so they would have some spare kanga, it appears that they have waved the carrot in front of him and he took it!

Looks like Trotter will never see finals football in the GDFL afterall.

Stll got some coaching accreditation dramas but is definitely playing and like Cousins at West Coast is seen as the "Spiritual" leader therefore even if he doesn't get the accreditation back will still be calling the shots in the background.

Considering you're an Inverleigh man jaychawk I'm sure your belief is completely unbiased! Thats great if they do mprove but they have a long way to go before even just pushing for a finals spot. Further to the Recruiting article, we are pleased to welcome a number of new players to the Club.
Joel Page has been cleared from Bell Post Hill, Michael Normington from Glen Eira, David Wilson from Kangaroo Flat and Matt Pope from Geelong West St Peters. Mark Andjelkovic's clearance is still in the system, while Ben Patrick and Matt Kershaw have returned to Lara in specialist roles.

We also wish the best to Brent Ling and Luke Iliopoulos in their footballing endeavours at Inverleigh and Anakie respectively.

Regardless of what Inverleigh add this year you also have to factor in that they've lost Rusty from last year.

don't get me wrong Mark Russel had a great year in 06 and we finished bottom. last year he only played a quarter of the year and was ordinary. forwards aren't our problem as we have 3 that are more than capable of kicking a bag. Starcivic has committed and despite his overseas adventures is in the best shape since the finals of 05. with a few more on the cards, the hawks are making a late recruiting run.

I got these names from the website, im pretty sure they all played in the GFL reserves finals series. And there are some very good players in this particular list that every GDFL club would love to have running around with them.

your spot on on with a few names that i know of: Rocket Hutch is a senior player in any side in geelong, shoulder surgery kept him out for most of year, Stickland would play most games in gfl seniors, and Brent Jervies & Doggy Ryan are very smart players and would walk into gdfl seniors.
