Great to see Baker back playing footy at East after going over seas.
Lovely skills and very poised.
East could be a real suprise packet this year.

East will make massive improvements and will climb the ladder quickly, ive also heard that Werribee are getting themselves together again have recruited a couple and should not be written off. They will make finals again.

That is a huge call considering the personal that has departed. I would think they require a few more than a couple to replace those loses.

Agree obi, but by the same token, they have been ordinary, especially last season. Hopefully for the sake of the comp, they can turn it around.
All the talk of late, they seem quite content with how things are going.
They seem to be very confident and from talking to a few players they think they will make finals.
I hope to go and watch there game at inverleigh on the 14th april vs Marybough

That would be a huge loss for the hawkers, losing there only decent player. But at least there wallets will be safe in the changerooms

Panther and Armstrong leaving Thomson. Surely the comp's leading goalkicker is a huge loss? With Armstrong, have heard he is a decent player, yet the two of them have not been mentioned on this post.
Take into account a 3 peat for the taking, are they considered big losses, or easily covered?

drysdale played bell post hill and beat the panthers by 8 points, highlights of the game were chris moreland kicking 5, joel page dominating the centre but the standard was disgusting

Kerang beat East by 3-4 goals. East's coach dominated, would've ended up with 8 goals at least. Sinclair went off early with ankle problems, either that or he smelt the alcohol upstairs. Played 10 minutes. Some bloke Deany (no.27) was sent off for swearing at the umpire, may have been reported as well. A most entertaining game.

East lost by 3 goals. Best players would of been Skrobolak , Sam Paisley and another guy from torquay.
East only went up to Karang with 21 players and had 2 injuries in the first 10 minutes. From what i heard the coach was happy with most of the game aprt from a few lapses in concentration.

wiskers you might find that most footy will be disgusting as most clubs have either been training indoors or on small grounds due to the drought. you might also find that the standard for the footy for the first half of this year might be terible as well untill the second half of the year. i also find that it is very hard to get players motivated for this year due to training conditions.
newton you seem like you know abit about centrals, so who have they got back then to be playing GDFL finals as you say???? Big call especially since they have lost some big names.

I know Simon Calbert is definitely back but apparently he didn't play on the weekend, they have also picked up another quality forward from the bush as well. Add Fastuca, Wallace, Beck, Chugg, Foley, Simmons and a number of exciting teenagers to this, then they should scrape into the final 5. They play their first half a dozen games at home so this should set them up pretty nicely.
Calbert would be in the top 3 players in the competetion so he is a huge inclusion for them.
