3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

The most embarrassing thing here besides your pure innocence on the matter is that your new found outrage over Geelongs finances is only confined to you and your goo squad. :thumbsu:

Lol, what a babe in the woods you are.
My outrage over Geelong's finances is "newfound" because the club's never made a $3.3m loss before!

This isn't a Hawthorn vs Geelong thing, not for me anyway. I've made many threads about Norf's woeful financial mismanagement so why would I let Geelong off the hook for doing the same thing? Any club that makes such a massive loss -and that includes Caaaarlton- is an anchor chained around Victorian football and one MY club will end up having to pick up the tab for.

I've said it many times cheffy, there are too many Victorian clubs and some of them need to go for the good of the game. Norf are obviously first on the chopping block but even 9 teams in one state is too many and frankly if your club keeps on losing millions every year I think it should join them. I'm also a Victorian taxpayer and it disgusts me to see your club surviving on handouts from the state government it has done nothing to earn. Nobody likes a parasite.

obsession confirmed. Insecurity minnows confirmed.

Oh dear.

2 losses this century. We lost 1.3m this year so let's get that straight.

All the other stuff isn't actually a loss. It was writing off a demolished asset, an asset we didn't even own mind you. Why it was listed as a asset to begin with is the mystery.

Absolute classic mate. :D:thumbsu:

I can't decide if Geelong supporters should be more worried about the club's finances, recruiting, or player development. All three have really fallen off a cliff since Chris Scott took over.... and its no coincidence most of us don't rate him as a coach. (I posted a thread on the Polls board asking which Scott brother is the better coach and Brad is absolutely romping it in!)

In true Nakia style where I can make up my own rules and facts.
In order for the title "Dynasty," A team must play off in 4 consecutive GF and win 3 of them.
Not my problem you continue to take offence over what you dislike hearing.

Geelong's dynasty is the best this great game has ever witnessed. It's what brought you over to the bay, flapping your arms wildly, remember?

I still go to the main board. I didn't know about the bay until a couple months ago.
Geelong had a failed dynasty, never good enough to go back to back never good enough to play 4 consecutive Grand finals. Only 2 teams had a dynasty in the AFL era and that was the Lions and the Hawks.
Geelong choked.

If Geelong had a failed dynasty, you wouldn't be melting so hard.

Cats didn't capitilise on their dominance, it's a failed dynasty. Still a great team and certainly the Cats greatest ever team and I enjoyed watching them. Really loved the Hawks/Cats games over the past 7 years, Hawks just did more and were able to win the games that mattered most. It's not a bad thing what the Cats failed to do, just not in the discussion with the Hawks.

The problem with so many Hawfs is that they think because our achievements overshadow theirs that what their club achieved is somehow diminished. They still threepeated, they shouldn't care so much that our dynasty was much greater than theirs.

The way you're melting hard suggests otherwise.

Remember how my presence lured you over to the bay?

They should be proud of being the 3rd best AFL dynasty. 15 other clubs would love that pleasure.

Geelong's only dynasty was its' B2B flags in 51 & 52 - albeit it a poor excuse for one, by Hawthorn standards. There has been no Geelong dynasty since, only three failed B2B attempts this century.

Please don't derail this thread. It has nothing to do with Hawthorn, we are discussing Geelong's dire financial situation and what -if anything- the club can do to turn it around. Along with contingencies like mergers & relocation should the trend continue - how would you feel about the Cats becoming the third West Australian club for instance?

Why do you think that when somebody responds to your hair brained statements or questions it's a melt?

The biggest melt I've seen on the bay was you Stabby.
Hey look, it's the melting parrot. :thumbsu:

Another who arrived on the bay via yours truly. :D

Psychotic and self delusional.

Please never have children although were probably pretty safe there as you'd need to talk to an actual woman to do that.

Nice melt. :thumbsu:

Is Nokia still trying to convince everyone that they're melting?

You are too funny Stabby....

Keep up the mediocre work and remember this is a football forum and there's no need to get stabby
Hey look, the melting parrot is back for another stab. :thumbsu:

I'm sure the Cats are happy been third. Cameron Ling even had a smile on his face when he credited the Hawks with surpassing his team.
