3 recent flags but the Cats are nearly as broke as Brisbane. Why?

Meh. We didn't get so lucky as you guys and get to play three GFs against sub standard interstate teams. We only got one of those and smashed the gf record in the process. Pity you couldn't do the same despite having four chances against weak interstate sides,.

So weak you lost to one at your home ground in a final:$

Remind me again who the first team to lose a gf to an interstate team:$

Twice.

So you're a "style over substance" kinda guy?
Thats the handbagger MO. See early 90's for further proof.

If they weren't such pretty boys worrying about home and away records that are nothing more than a trivial pursuit question, they might have paced themselves and made a few more GF's or at least won more than 1 in a row.

Lol boasting about H&A records, just shows how ingrained their cute little H&A focus is.

Deflection? Nope, just reminding you people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Hawthorn are lucky enough to have a more affluent supporterbase than any other club except perhaps Melbourne. Which means a greater percentage of our fans can afford to buy memberships but a smaller portion are willing to mingle with the riff-raff one typically finds among opposition supporters at matches.

So whilst our crowd numbers might not be as high as say Richmond's, our supporters aren't remotely as feral, are more willing to reach into their deep pockets to support their wonderful club, and are less likely to use an electrical cooking device to turn their membership into superheated plastic.

As for your "fairweather" comment, one only needs look at the drastic downward trend in crowd numbers at GMHBA stadium since 2011 to observe the lightening of the Geelong bandwagon.
'I started following Hawthorn in 1983 after the grand final'.:$

Why do ppl care when somebody began following a certain footy team?

Oh sorry,it's the bay,ruddy bangwaggonerrrr
I don't. Don't you find it strange Bosk keeps harping on about Geelong and their apparent bandwagon supporters when he epitomises the true bandwagoner.

Merely another example in a long list that prove he needs a screw or two tightened.

Them he couldn't come through with the goods when I said I'd donate $200 to charity if he could show his proof of membership.

Who holds the most goals in a season record? biggest ever score in a game record? biggest win in a gf record? Most all Australians in a season record? Most 150 point wins? Most wins in a row? Most home game wins in a row? Is it hawthorn? Nope. But one team holds all those records. Can you guess who?
Most Consecutive AFL Flags?

Apparent bandwagon. Fork me, last year's Melbourne/Boris' 300 debacle shows how fickle your lot are.

So many #GiantHawks around at present.

You'd think they would be too busy giving it to West Coast to worry about this thread.

That's VFL nimrod.
Lol, same competition.

The list of records Geelong hold that Seeds kindly pointed out refer to the entire history of the game.

It's cute how you need to revert solely to a selective period for relevance.

I guess that's why you continue to ignore anything that happened pre-1961, nimrod.

The crowd for the unfurling of a premiership flag was quite abysmal. It was as though some come to the realisation after that round 1 loss that the side was as dead as a dodo.

Chose AFL as it was when the comp went national, it is the current comp and with more teams, salary cap and a draft. The comp is designed for this not to happen. What happened > 25 years ago is not as relevant as the comp today barely resembles the comp before this time.

A kid supporting a team after sucess isn't new,it's been happening since day dot.

Threating to stab some random person is more than proof of "needs a screw or two tightened"

I'm sure he could "come up with the goods" if he could be bothered.

I guess he doesn't give a shit about your bullshit claims of charity.

All that means zero when I simply mention
13>9 and that's despite Geelongs 30 year head start.

The wake at Kp after 2008 was also "abysmal"

Mabye HFC supporters are bored after seeing it ever second year for the past eight seasons.

I didn't give a shit about it myself.

Haven't since 09

Handbaggers back to crowing about H&A games I see. Well its a step up from VFA flags at least. :drunk:

Meh didnt say you hadnt won more. But wins with style and dominance are better than wins with unsociable football, advantageous zones and just doing enough to get the job done. Our wins have left greater memories than yours. We play attacking and fair football and when we do win we do it in style. Crap even when we lose we sometimes gain more as fans than some of the hawks wins. The 89 season with the dominance of ablett and attacking football has left Geelong fans with far greater memories than hawks fans would of had despite your win. We may not get the job done as much. But we do it far better when we do.

Um yes because the grand final record and record winning streaks were purely home and away. Even some of those purely home and away records came in premiership years. Our flags are simply better. Deal with it.
