Has anyone heard much on BPH to date? How are they shaping up as far as losses and gains of players?

A few older players have moved on and I'm sure they are easily replaced. Yes even N Lewis.
As for signings, did hear D Gibbs, although on the GFL, Nth Shore are claiming him as assistant coach.

I'm so sick of hearing this blokes name. Let's be realistic, what has he achieved ?? a Mathieson. He pumps his own tryes up & to be honest dosen't back it up. I'm not here to stir the shit, but honestly I've watched him play probably 30 times & he either A) Chases arse or B) gets tagged & goes missing or sheepdogs. He thrives off his own reputation which, lets be honest, there is a ton of better footballers going around. Sorry if I have upset any of Rick's posse, but that's how it is.
At the end of the day Ricky is the only player in history to win all 3 league b&f and that speaks for itself. What ric does with the juniors at clubs and how much they look upto him never gets mentioned, his a great roll model for all juniors with what he does on and off the footy field.

He coached Sth Colac to a premiership against an undefeated Lorne so he must be doing something right. Plenty of thugs have become good coaches. Leigh Matthews at an AFL level. Doesnt mean he is a bad coach, may need to be a doo as i say not as i do coach.

There would be 12 year olds running around spitting, kicking and squirrel gripping the opposition.

Anyone know if Thomson have picked up many for next year?

they picked up Julian Carr from stawell way. Was a real handy player before he did his knee. Hopefully will get back to his best. Very Very handy pick up. Comes with a pal who is supposedly quality too. Snowy, that's all i know.

Snowy's quality played at Belmont first then played at Newcomb and made the inter league team at fullback then went back up to stawell.

heard that maybe adrian saltamaccia might be headed to thomson, he coaches the cricket there and also i think st albans coach is running the bench for them. He is definatly past GFL seniors but could be a very handy player out of the square or pinch hitting onball in GDFL.

Whats going on down at Belmont? Have they picked up anyone or is it all departures at this stage?
How much can I get for them to collect the wooden spoon?

there a differance between someone who is nearing the end of their career but still wants to play senior footy and someone who is "washed up"? i think he still has plenty to offer at GDFL level
OK ill rephrase it for you: DEADWOOD, would be like another club recruiting timmy gardiner or jason fastuca or barry otoole, great players in their day but not worth anything to anyone else now

how do you guys think winch will go this year, finished off well last year have heard smitty has got a few good recruits this year,

they finshed the year of well and pushed most teams last year. I have heard they have recruted well with a few boys returning from previous years. i seen them train at eastern beach on wednesday with about 50 players i dont think winch would have ever had 50 players on the track ever. I would expect them 2 push for 5th spot on the ladder. Which would be a massive achivement from 2008 season.

50 blokes great effort for this time of the year, have the picked up any one else from centrals, kennedy leaving there could attract a few more down the highway.

i was training with em and there was not 50 at all, 30 at the most which is still ok but will it hold up though

Any extra quality from last year?
I think it would be great if Winch could continue to improveand push into the finals. Generally enjoy the trip out west especially the country hospitality.

there was probably 5-8 that were players u could say that were of good quality, they other team that was down there made our group look very average to be honest not sure who they were though, there skills were very sharp 4 this time of year

I'm expecting big things from Winch next year.

Winch, Inverleigh and North Geelong (haven't heard much about their off season pick ups?) should really be knocking on the door of the 5 next year.

fair point i think the 5 will stay around the same maybe bannok falling out and inverleigh coming in, centrals will finish higher then 5th this season definatly shaping as a top 3 side, would love to see winch battle it out for that last spot as well as smitty has got the country town in a good shape.

Your probably right considering that was the amount of seniors players there and training, but how could you tell which ones were quality considering we were broken into groups and just doing running???? i think you may be full of shit mate
