#25 has to be for Henry now doesn't it?

Would be strange for GCS to take it for Bowes consider Brisbane got that pick off GCS in the first place as part of the Berry trade.

I know, but they don't currently have the list vacancies to take them to the draft. The more obvious approach would be to not split them so much and have pre-arranged live trades for when the bids come.
Brisbane can easily still delist some players and they don’t have to use all their picks, they can pass. Final list aren’t done until a week or 2 after the draft.

Thats my thought too 25 and 58 for henry i think.

  1. Future 1st + 25 to Collingwood
  2. Future 2nd (Collingwood need to acquire) to Gold Coast
  3. Pick 7, Bowes and Henry to Geelong
Is anyone unhappy with that trade?

Collingwood have two future 2nd's (theirs and GWS')

  1. Future 1st + 25 to Collingwood
  2. Future 2nd (GWS) to Gold Coast
  3. Pick 7, Bowes and Henry to Geelong
this assume AFL bends the rules to allow the cats to trade their F1 (imagine it happens)

Interesting few years for the cats
Picks 7 then 58 this year
1st pick next year will be 58

Chances of us getting pick/point trade in our favor is higher when clubs are in the middle of their own trades and trying to work things out. If we go back to draft night, these opportunities become slim and they'll have more knowledge on the delta to squeeze us more.

We have the option to delist more senior players to bring more active picks to the draft. We can get them all back as DFA once draft is over. Zorko, Rich, Lyons, Cockatoo for example - all have contracts with us next year and I guess would be happy to assist.

I didn’t see you gave up your future second as well. I think you paid overs here to protect your first and force us to accept 25
Potentially

Means they'd be leaving the Bowes trade until after this is done I thin

Edit: they may also be using 25 in the Bowes trade and waiting for you to get a future second for Grundy and then pull the upgraded second to first manoeuvre

Delist Cockatoo and Lyons no problem, but Zorko and Rich? Can't see them being happy with that, especially when West Coast pick them up.

There is a delisted free agent window (3) that runs before pre-season draft. Dates below. We can pick them all up right after draft is over so the whole West Coast picking up Rich in pre-season draft won't need to play out.

Our senior players are our best chance to accommodate this request as they'll understand it's not about them. This is being done to use maximum number of picks available and get Ashcroft + Fletcher through the door, as well as help the seniors have another crack at Premiership before retirement.

Zorko and Rich are pretty close to finishing off as one club players. A Delist and re-add hopefully may not worry them that much. I'll be more nervous about delisting younger players as there's a good chance of them getting poached.
