good luck i no u will need it, but u can do it

Beds are Burning is about giving back land to the Aboriginals? Not sure how that is relevant.

But lets for second imagine the words are coming from the mouth of a bulldogs supporter towards the cats. Pretty much you're telling them you're going to give them whats rightfully theirs. The premiership? I'm confused.

You're a bit thick.

Its like Birth, Life, Taxes or Death

It will happen, unless you are taking some kind of drug that wont make it happen.

And for the Cats it is just as likely to happen for whatever reasons next week as soon as the next.

Next week you play the Dogs, first time in a final since Billy Brownless's monster goal in 1995.

We all know that after 1977, 1992 x 2 & 1995 that sooner or later the Cats luck WILL RUN OUT against the DOGS..and I will remind you of the lyrics of Midnight Oils "Beds are Burning"

Looking forward to next week :thumbsu:

Doggies are in the Prelim. Yearrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
There wouldn't be one punter in Australia that would tip the dogs against the cats - but just remember that we thrashed geelong in round one last year and were within 14 points at 3Q time this year and if Minson can take 3 contested grabs in the forward line like tonight then he has a pretender like Mooney covered.
I can't wait for Geelong to lose and we'll hear a thousand pathetic little 'red headed' hearts break down in Geelong.
Ha ha ha harrrrrrrrrrrr
woof

Grand Final - Dogs v Hawks - the rematch except this time Hardie won't be letting Matthews off the leash

I can't believe how cocky the supporters of the team that are playing Geelong get. They think that just because they are playing Geelong, they can claim to be equal.

I hope the Bulldogs get smashed to shut these people up (just like the Saints supporters from the week before).

Are you drunk?

Round 1 2007 was a 20 point win. Nowhere near a thrashing.

Since then 18 months have passed, Geelong have a flag and 2 10+ goal wins against the dogs.

And Mooney will kick goals on your leaky backline again like he always does.

Yeah... um.... right...

OH that's where that de ja vu is coming from. I think I .. yes... I do recall Hawthorn supporters getting stuck into Geelong supporters about a win back in... err... early 07?

Times change. Can you say "10 goals"? Let's judge Geelong on recent form, not the first few games of the 2007 season eh? Clutch at straws much?

Just quietly, Geelong play better at the MCG than they do at Skilled, and they'll have Ablett and Ling back this time too, who were both missing the last time the two sides met. The margin was 10 goals back in round 16, and the Dogs were in much better nick leading into that game than they are at the moment.

We always seem to win when opposition supporters start crap threads like this one too, which is pretty much every week nowadays! :thumbsu:

anything can happen on the day, and its good to dream !

Essendon lost the un losable final in 1999 against Carlton, so its possible on the day , believe me. And if the dogs apply the same tactics that Collingwood did earlier on in the year, Look Out !

The pressure is all on the Cats to get the win, theres no pressure on the Dogs at all !

Who knows, Geelong just may bring out that handbag that they have been so famous for in the past next friday ??? hehe !:D

Cheers

were within 14 points at 3Q time this year

Now here is the Doggie supporters problem. They actually get excited because they were within 14pts at 3/4 time.Just a shame the Dogs did their usual trick of collapsing in the last qtr and losing by 10 goals ....but hey you were with in 14pts at 3/4 time,so congrats on that super effort :thumbsu:

It's gonna be another year of failure for the Doggies :p

Year of failure? Hmm??

That kind of comment coming from a Cats supporter must really hit home after your dismal grand final record on 4 of the last 5 occasions.

Dogs have nothing to lose if we don't win Friday, the Cats on the other hand will never live it down, so theres no pressure on us at all !

And we wont have to worry about that pesky #26 for Hawthorn from 1985 either, he will be up in our coaches box pulling whats left of his hair out.

None of that suggested why the Dogs will beat the cats.

There was not one reason put forward. That's pretty telling.

I love these types of threads. Every week during the whole season someone has made a thread stating that Geelong is going to lose this week etc. In fact I'd be more worried if there wasn't a thread like this as it would break the tradition.

Good luck to the Doggies in the Prelim. Bring it on and if you are good enough to beat us then you have earned your spot in the GF. I happen to think we will probably pants you, but I hope you make a game of it and give it all you got.

Bring it!

They have "Aker Power" which gives them an akertastic advantage over us hapless cats only relying on people like Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Ottens, Chapman, Johnson, Scarlett, Corey, Rooke.......ohhh my we are in big trouble.
