Dogs were so kissed on the dick by the umps tonight it reminded me of the 2016 gf, so many doggies throws and them giving the dees less time to dispose of the ball. Jacob Mollison is a disgrace, even that holding the ball that was given against Libba in the last quarter I think it was for dragging the ball in. The ball had come out the back about 2 or 3 seconds before he paid it, he is not even in possession

Agree. Dragging the ball in is not a penalty if the player knocks the ball clear. Hard to do so if the ball isn’t in your vicinity i.e. the ball is clear. Mollison always has been a terrible umpire.

All the media will talk up the dogs tomorrow, but sadly no one will comment on the umpiring they receive compared to everyone else.
It’s staggering the free ride they get

Cracking game though
I dont normally worry about umpiring too much as its something for the most part out of your control .

I've never seen a sporting team get such a gifted extended run by officiating.
Last night there were around 6 50/50 type calls in the 3rd quarter, every single one went their way .
Bont twice tried to break 2-3 tackles , caught cold dropping it ......play on .
Another dog tackled does a 720 ball flies free .....play on
List goes on

No wonder people get so frustrated by it

Geelong are sitting on top of the ladder, but their draw this year has been an absolute joke - particularly with how this season has played out.

2 x Kangaroos
2 x Eagles
2 x Saints
2 x Bulldogs
2 x Power

It may eventuate they'll finish this season without having doubled up against a team playing finals.

Christ, I just took a peak at the Horn Frances thread on the north board. They are completely off the reservation over there. That thread is next level.

They operate in a different sphere to the rest of us. Hard to know how Horne-Francis wlll progress but there is a risk he will never be the player we expected and it is hard not to think that being at North will have a negative impact. From where I sit the kid needs some older wiser heads around him.

One of the great flaws with the draft system. Talent and recruitment is one thing, development is another. A side that sits last generally sits there because of their inability to develop talent. The competitiveness and prestige of the draft pick aside (and short term monetary benefit), if you were a talented young bloke with some sense, you’d much rather go 7-8 in the draft than 1.

Would absolutely thrive at a stronger club. Nobody leaves North to BECOME a sh!t player.

i had a browse for the laughs. There’s a few who accept the truth but the majority group think is astounding. The amount of self convincing about how the umpires were the reason they got absolutely smacked is beyond explanation. There is one bloke there who keeps writing paragraphs about the umps every few hours. It seems he still hasn’t convinced himself yet.

They talk about their younger blokes as if they have some world beaters on their list which they don’t. The have a fig jam who they are worshipping before time instead of asking he earn his stripes before being so petulant. Apparently the umps have it in for him too. The bloke is lucky he got an early season RS nom based on where he was taken in the draft rather than his actual output this season. Needs a good mirror.
